WOTM: Universalism Makes God The Worst Sadist!
In attempting to make Christianity a little more palatable, Christians on the liberal end of the spectrum have began to embrace Universalism — the belief that we will all ultimately be saved and reconciled to God. Perhaps after only half an eternity in Hell.
They think this makes God the loving character He's supposed to be, getting rid of eternal conscious torment. I think it makes Him even more of a monster.

It speaks volumes that if I cared about the answer I could get into an argument over what, specifically, makes the Judeo-Christian deity-thingy the worst sadist. There's just so much to choose from. It sums up why reading the bible turned me into an athiest. I remember my teen-age self thinnking: this irritable psychopath is ... God?! Yikes!

Actually when you think, as I do, that these "scriptures" were made up, aka fiction, etc. that means the authors thought what they wrote cast Yahweh in a good light. Holy Effing Jesus!
