Black Sails 1x05 Full Reaction

Anyone else getting a "Sorry, This video does not exist" message?

Milena keep your promise next time please.

I don't know why but I assumed it was lola slacking on the edited reaction. I sincerely apologise to lola. Milena, I'm shocked and appalled!

Rip we aren’t getting the edited version today as promised I think.

Happy new year 💞💎

I love that Milena is saying she would follow Flint at the start. I’m a Flint ride or die, so I support. Going to be interesting to see if she stays feeling that way. Also, Billy is as much, if not more, to blame for the problems last episode. He should have made sure his men were listening to his orders to tie to the right trees, and not ignoring him to go the fuck tent. Flint IS that good of a sailor. It’s been said by many people at this point that Flint is the best Captain. This is part of the reason why. His battle tactics are risky, but he is in no way relying on luck. He really is just that good. And he trusts his men to be good at their job too.

Happy new year. I promise I wasn’t begging and praying for Black Sails upload every day.

Also, “god when will they stop torturing max?” Totally felt the same at this point in my first watch, Lola. Gunaxshyyl vg vf svanyyl chg gb n fgbc arkg rcvfbqr, naq gura Znk qbrf abguvat ohg evfr sebz gurer.

Man, every single character in this show is so fucking good. Sometimes I forget how good season 1 is just because of how next level 2-4 are

I don't have the words to describe my love of Jack & Anne. Deep in the shitshow, new brothel owners lmao

I mention this in some of my other pre-written comments that I’ll post for the reaction, but the opening convo between Billy and Flint is really interesting. And I like how we start with Flint talking to Billy about the ways a leader sometimes must lie in order to get those they are leading to do what they have to. And Billy does that exact thing with Dufresne before they board the ship: he lies to Dufresne for the sake of his comfort. And Dufresne admits later that it helped him. Really interesting stuff.

Lola, please link that Zuko edit!

While y'all are waiting for the reactions to drop this week, take a minute to fill out this survey. You can rate every show the girls have ever watched on the channel, and I'll post the results a week later to see which shows we all prefer 🙂 https://freeonlinesurveys.com/s/gPMMWGE3

Like I said, saving most of my comments for the edited, but I’ll say this: I love how much this show makes it clear that each member of the crew is needed for the ship to function properly. We see all of them working, and it makes a difference. We see how hands on Flint is as well: he is out there working with everyone else in the spray of the sea, and he’s clearly very experienced to know exactly how the wheel must be turned to get them to the right speed. Quite a contrast to Captain Bryson sitting in his cabin unconcerned.

Happy new years to you girls and the rest of you fellas that are always in the comment section.
