sorry but have to ask when is the next jjk ep x)
The seawall is a massive coastal barrier that protects the low-lying parts of the city from the surrounding Gotham Harbor.
Covering up a murder-suicide (the Waynes) would be a crime. Going to a known crime family to intimidate the free press would be a crime too here in America. He did it so that there would be nothing to hurt his campaign. With all the talk of mental health here, things like this would still hurt someone's political career. The Kennedys covered up a lot of mental health issues. Whatever the reason, or Wayne's involvement, it wasn't smart to go to Falcone.
I had a really hard time syncing this to my copy (8 seconds ahead, local titles I suppose). For this channel I usually wait for a loud line of dialog on my copy then restart when the girls catch up. Took me 18 minutes to find one here! I apologise to Lola for shouting at her to shut up when she spoke over the actors before then. Does anyone have a better way?
No better way. Wasn't that bad for me. I sync based on dialogue and sounds. Took me maybe 7-8 minutes to fine tune the sync -- then perfectly in sync thereafter for the remainder (2+ hours) of the movie.
I hadn't planned on watching this movie, but now I had to, and wow. The detective aspect of Batman and him figuring out what the point of the whole vigilantism were very pleasant surprises. The stand out was definitely The Riddler; the shared interest of unveiling the corruption through vengeance but through very different ideals, both kind of self serving but still out of hatred and the other for a vague idea of scaring criminals. The Riddler never actually meeting Batman until after he's captured and even then he was steps ahead, it wasn't about stopping The Riddler it was about stopping the, kind of understandable, vengeance of the ostracized and forgotten, by reaching out a hand to those who need it. A very bright conclusion for a Batman movie but amazingly executed through the darkness.
Props for watching this before The Penguin. I slept on this when it came out, it wasn't until AFTER I saw The Penguin that I revisited it and it's now my favorite superhero movie. 3 hours feels like 1 hour. It's so good
Watch Whiplash next!
This Alfred played by Andy Serkis also played Gollum in Lord of the Rings
A detail I love about this movie is that they have a reason to make Batman so unnerving with the way he moves and stares around because he’s recording everything to review later
woah I never thought about that
If you guys liked this you would love The Joker. Same vibe but even better movie.
YEEEESSSSS
