Jujutsu Kaisen 3x07 Reaction

Yuji & Megumi are both looking for the Higuruma, the "H" name. But! Lola was also partially right--the guy we saw before with 200 points, who just made the 9th rule, Hakari is looking for him, & I believe Panda is too. We have two teams looking for two different people. That guy's name is Kashimo. Also, regarding points, y'all are correct that killing someone with 100 points would only give you 5 points as of right now. But, our squad wants to change this. They want to add a rule that you can transfer points between players. If they are successfully, then theoretically, somebody could defeat someone with 100 points in battle, demand the other person transfer them all their points, & then kill them. In which case, they would basically get 105 points for killing one person
Not spoiling but next episode is one of my favorites in the series just from an animation, art, direction standpoint. It made me realize JJK is one of the best animes I’ve ever seen in terms of the quality of adaptation and elevating the source material. Gosso, the director of the show during S2-S3, elevated the direction of the series so much, honestly more than I would even ever expect for a battle shonen type anime. Season 2’s production was crunched/rushed during Shibuya, but you could see this starting in the Hidden Inventory arc where they started having some great ideas with camera, shots, etc. Now in Season 3 it’s clearer than ever. The animation quality, music, art, direction/“cinematography” is the best in the industry outside of maybe Demon Slayer I know you guys don’t really talk about the technical/visual/animation part of the shows which isn’t a big deal at all, but just wanted to gush about this part of JJK in general.
Kenjaku probably thanked Sasaki for two reasons: First, she was genuinely Yuji’s friend before all the jujutsu chaos started, and the way Kenjaku says “thank you for being friends with my son” feels surprisingly personal. It suggests that, even though he treats Yuji as part of a huge experiment, he still has some weird, twisted sense of parental attachment to him But Sasaki also played an important role in how everything began. She and the occult club were the ones messing around with Sukuna’s finger, which eventually brought Yuji into contact with it and led to him swallowing it. So from Kenjaku’s perspective, she unintentionally helped set Yuji on the exact path he wanted I think that’s why the scene feels so strange. Kenjaku is basically thanking her both as someone who was kind to Yuji and as someone who unknowingly helped push his entire plan forward.
Lola mentioned in the episode 5 reaction that she was surprised by the shot of Yuji and Megumi walking where Yuji was in the light but Megumi was in the darkness. But that's honestly because the ladies forgot about Megumi's suicidal tendencies (every time he motioned to summon Mahoraga which was like 3 times, he was planning to die), his willingness to kill so many people if he has to, and his willingness to not save people he deems isn't deserving of it. Megumi has always been the darker of the 2 boys but I love how much he is also willing to help Yuji find ways out of killing people because he knows how important not killing is to Yuji. I believe Megumi's love language is acts of service, which he displays with Yuji quite often and I just think it's so cute how he was able to become so close to Yuji in just such a short amount of time, especially given his personality and how standoffish he is.
I really like how Hakari first refuses to help but once he trusts them he insists on taking care of the stronger opponent, he's protective of the first years but only when he knows they are worth it. He kind of reflects Nanami's "vague reasons" for getting back into sorcery, the show consistently puts emphasis on having a strong conviction, even Todo's "What type of woman is your type?" works since his convitions about the question is strong.
It was said people like Junpei who has technique and like Itadori Yuji(not Megumi's sister) who ate a cursde object.
You know who is mwhahaha evil? Sukuna
ep 9 has after credits scene
I always interpreted it as kenjaku is thankful to sasaki because their friendship lead to Yuji being in her occult club and eventually finding sakunas finger.
This is what I understand about the "free will" thing. At the end of S2, Kenjaku said he forcefully implanted objects that came from the sorcerers he made pacts with. That didn't happen with Yuji though. He stumbled upon the finger with his club and ate it to save Megumi, which was a spontaneous decision. From what Megumi knows, Kenjaku couldn't have predicted that Yuji would find the finger, eat it, survive it (since Megumi said there was like a 1 in 1,000,000 chance he'd survive), and live long enough to join the games with Sukuna.
I really like the opening sequence, with Kenjaku leading Sasaki out of the Colony. Not Mother of the Year, but it was interesting :D
Re; why the players know who the other players are, after Kashimo added the new rule about being able to see other players' names and points, they can basically use their Kogane like a Pokédex to track the other players. Presumably, almost everyone checked the list to see who the top players were at least once when they found out about the new rule.
I know these comments are always annoying but from next episode till the end of the season we are eating SO GOOD
its back to back cinema
"He looks very sweet" 👀👀
I smiled when they said that lol
Can’t wait for them to see our best boy
r***** s***? 😍 yassss
Cool thumbnail! ‘Split Ahead’ indeed. The art direction in this season really is stellar. It was improved in season 2, but here it’s one-upped again. All the little edits, the choice of colours, the way shots will linger. The way information is displayed. It’s all very impressive.
Actually art direction is the lacking part. In japanese animation art direction refers do background art and in these colonies they are not the best. Everything else is perfect though.
“Who’s Yakul?” Princess Mononoke reaction coming soon?
It would be so cool to get that reaction
The more I watch Jujutsu Kaisen, the more I realize that I genuinely don’t think characters like Nobara or Nanami could still be alive this far into the story without Gege giving them serious plot armor. When you look at the characters who are still around—Maki, Megumi, Yuji, Yuta, Hakari, etc.—they’re all characters who can realistically participate in the fights and conflicts the story has created. With how strictly Gege writes his power system and how he handles fights, I just don’t see how someone like Nobara could realistically still be involved in something like the Culling Game. Eventually she would have to fight someone way stronger than her, and either she dies or Gege has to come up with some BS reason for her to survive. And I think that’s why a lot of the weaker characters get killed off so early. There’s just not really a way to keep them around without giving them plot armor or constantly keeping them out of the fights. Usually if you want to figure out who's going to die next, just think about who in the cast is weakest. And that's probably who it will be, given how many fights happen it’s Pretty wild lol
I just don't think that's true at all. The core philosophy at the heart of Jujutsu kaisen is people working together to overcome obstacles versus the philosophy of focusing on yourself only, at the expense of all others/teamwork. Sukuna and Gojo are wholly alone, singular. Gojo works best when by himself, as he doesn't have to worry about hurting his teammates, and Sukuna simply wouldn't team up with anyone. You're creating a scenario in your head where the story has to lead into multiple 1 on 1 battles, but that simply isn't true. Nobara is an excellent support combatant. She may not be strong 1 on 1, but she is great paired up with others. Nanami is a grade one sorcerer. Maybe not the strongest, but he was extremely powerful. Putting him in this argument is ridiculous.
Really good thumbnail, today :O
YAY
