17:00 Your reactions are LITERALLY the same as mine when I first saw that, truly a moment I would not have expected sukuna to show up to. Sukuna is one of the biggest highlights of this incident

Man, I just can't get over how efficient Toji is. He confirmed Megumi's identity and then, without missing a beat, immediately killed himself before his son could ask for any missing Child Support.

Don't forget when Jogo fought Gojo, Gojo called him weak after not being touched by him, same situation against Sukuna and he calls Jogo strong.

That conversation between Jogo and Sukuna at the end will always get me. Knowing that curses are born from humanity's negative emotions, Jogo saying "we are the true humans" hits differently. Imagine being formed from all the "worst" parts of humanity and being fully aware of it. Jogo spent his existence fighting for the recognition of curses as living beings with a right to exist. To me, they're somewhat similar to Judas' role in the Bible: there was never really a way for them to escape the "malice" they were born with, nor the role the world had already assigned to them. Yet the majority of the world will always reduce them to antagonistic beings whose only purpose is to stand against "the good ones." And then there are his tears after being praised by Sukuna. Sukuna occupies a nearly godlike position in Jogo's worldview: the strongest curse, the closest thing they have to a deity, it almost feels like Jogo finally received validation for his existence from the highest authority his world could possibly have. It reminds me of how some people search for value or purpose in God, looking for acknowledgment from a being they consider greater than themselves. Ever since I read these chapters in the manga, i couldn't help but sympathize with the disaster curses, and i loved that you girls also did since season 1

19:24 As cynical as this view point is, you can’t escape the truth that emanates from it. Gojo ultimately looses in shibuya because he partly rejected this worldview. His connection and camaraderie with Geto is what held him back in that critical moment. Not that I agree with it but within this context, I see where he’s coming from.

We finally got to the TikTok audio, and the true journey was the friends we met on the way there

T
Touchingthebutt · July 14, 2026

Lola's Triple, maybe even quadruple take was so funny @27:00 talking about two domains in the same area we saw a little bit of this 2 episodes ago. Megumi used his own domain to open a hole in Dagons. The two domains were " clashing" fighting over the space. While two domains are clashing the "guaranteed hit" is negated. It's essentially a sumo battle or tug-of-war to see who can push the other out first. We also saw this in episode 7 Gojo vs Jogo but Gojo was so much stronger that the clash was over in an instant.

Some people will say that for as much as Sukuna is talked about, he should appear more in the series, but I think Gege's sparse use of him up 'till now makes his appearance here even more impactful and terrifying. He couldn't be so overwhelming if he showed up all the time, and I think it makes him unique among the many "inner demon" plots for shonen characters.

Toji gave LM what Ging never would

E
Em , · July 14, 2026

This episode is so good. I love that Gege brought Toji back not for Megumi to finally know his father died and that’s why he hadn’t been around for at least a year before Gojo came but it was for Toji instead. His life was so violent except for when he was with Mamaguro and he died not knowing if his son would end up being part of the Zenin clan. Him finally getting to know that Megumi, his ‘blessing’ isn’t like the men in the Zenin clan who abused him and instead goes by Fushiguro means Toji can finally rest in peace and give Megumi his last gift by his absence. Toji wasn’t fit to be a father to Megumi so his final act being him dying with this knowledge is such a great ending for him. Toji became one of my favourites so sneakily like he is a bad person but he’s so well written that it’s understandable and you can fill in gaps without needing it to be shown to get why he’s like this. To heal the soul I’d recommend DDub1618 on twitter for cute Fushiguro family fanart especially with tiny Megumi !!

b
bondbond53 · July 14, 2026

At the end, as much as he was capable emotionally/physically, Toji managed to protect his blessing (Megumi)

G
Gucci Pucci · July 14, 2026

This show man…peak 🙂‍↔️ One of if not the best episode of the season for me

b
bondbond53 · July 14, 2026

Love how Lola talks about the members of Geto's faction, probably following him because he saved them, just like the little girls. Meanwhile, 2 of the members of the faction, according to the author in the fanbook: "Damn, that monk is so hot that I will follow him into battle" *Gojo nods knowingly in the background*

Gojo to Jogo (good guy): 'You're weak' Sukuna to Jogo (villain): 'Stand proud. You're strong' This is why I love JJK and it's the moment Sukuna became an interesting character to me

K
Kendall Roy · July 15, 2026

Yeah, praising curses isn't part of Gojos personality. When he calls Jogo weak during a battle he's provoking him

S
Sammy · July 14, 2026

the Mangaka said that he brought Sukuna out in this arc, because no other chracter would have been strong enough to defeat Jogo. Not even Toji would have been enough.

D
Danny · July 14, 2026

Lowkey Jogo was such an interesting character. He fought the two strongest characters in the show so he always felt weak but we can see he was nowhere near weak. But even more so - his character felt tragic even though he killed so many. It felt like he truly wanted to live and pave a path for his people (cursed spirits). He was willing to bet and sacrifice his entire life against that. While Mahito was a cursed spirit who gave into his desires...Jogo had something very similar to humanity. A will, a dream and feelings of companionship towards his fellow spirits. He was quite literally just on opposite sides. As a cursed spirit, his fight against humanity was inevitable

Realising with Toji that he did love his family, but after he lost his wife he kind of lost his way and couldnt cope with Megumi on his own is sad asf, he clearly cared for him too , his mind had been twisted. His basic urges told him simply to go after the strongest. But when he regained control for a moment and thought about his son, he was filled with joy to know that Gojo kept his promise. Megumi wasn't a Zenin. He hadn't been sold off. And thus, to both protect his son if he lost control again and relief that his last wish before his death had been fulfilled, Toji took his own life. What a phenomenal character. And also the fact that he died with Megumi on his mind twice, i’ll always get emotional from this scene.

The conversation Sukuna has with Jogo in the end is one of my favorites in this season. As you said last episode, he's a complete black and white character with no redeeming qualities. However finally this is the first time we get more insight into his character. For the first time he actually praises someone and without any surprise it's only due to Jogo's strength and might. "You should have burnt everything down without plots or calculations". What he's saying here only applies to Jogo as a cursed spirit. He's asking him to fully understand his nature as a cursed spirit and seize his desires with strength instead of looking for comparisons and cunning plots. As Jogo who is a cursed spirit cries, Sukuna claims not knowing what that is which signifies he has always had this "might makes right" mentality and has never known such feelings. Jogo with his vulnerabilities and need for acknowledgement actually seems more of a human compared to Sukuna in that encounter. Having such a rigid selfish black and white villain as a direct contrast to Yuji's rigid selflessness in a show where its power system clearly rewards arrogance and egocentrism is a very exciting aspect of this relationship. I remember in the beginning of the show you said you're interested to see how they both will change each other. Yet by now it's very clear how both of them are incredibly rigid characters with nothing in common other than their unbreakable spirit.

B
Brakthir · July 14, 2026

its a super interesting contrast to the Gojo conversation with Jogo, where Gojo laughed and called him weak. Sukuna praised him and called him strong.
