Haikyuu!! 4x18 Reaction

i will continue to bemoan we were robbed of a season 5. but i'd rather finish off the manga first then watch the movies. at least that is an option for me

What's concerning is they cut a lot of scenes when the movie is only 1 hour and 20 minutes long. I would have understood if the movie had been 2 hours long, but it's just 1 hour and 20, so it doesn't make any sense D: . So I'm hoping they learned from this mistake and the next movie will actually be longer. But don't worry, the movie is still great. It's just that crybaby manga lovers like us felt a bit betrayed haha.

Tora and Kenma remind me of Hinata and Tsukki so much. Introvert and extrovert who didn't like each other initially but they have grown so close and the love and respect between them is real.

Monster is right around the corner, can’t wait ! Still sad haikyuu is almost over tho.

Yeah the movie’s an hour and a half, if that. Tbh, as a manga reader the pacing was a little disappointing, but it’s visually stunning at least with some great direction.

Kind of sad but also happy that we’re getting closer to the movie.

I love the end to this match. In the flashback last episode, Kenma says "but taking even another step is such a hassle," and the final play is him literally taking that extra step, putting in the last bit of effort because he doesn't want to let his team down.

At this point I just need a Haikyuu week 😭😭😭

We are getting closer and closer to peak..

The movie is less than 90 minutes 💀 and i say that now so that you can just mentally prepare for the length to disappoint you. It really bums me out they decided to go this route to end the show. They cut out a lot and other moments just dont have time to breathe like they would with weekly episodes. Its still a good time but it could have been so much better had we just had another season 🫠

Looking ahead a number of weeks, and maybe this has been discussed on the discord, but has anyone given consideration to what version of Monster they should watch? There is the Netflix version, but the issue with that is that it is in a low resolution and doesn’t licence all the music from the series. I have all the files of a 4K upscaled version with full music etc, which based on my own research seems like the best/most complete version of the show. I’d like to know others thoughts on this!

currently on 4x11! i'll be able to catch up before you finish the show. can't say the same for the sopranos 💀 sadly it's not as easy as each episode last twice (or more) as one of haikyuu and the intros and discussions are usually longer 😭
