Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End 1x18 Reaction
happy friday and dont worry its a double drop today
Comments (50)
Someone probably as already commented but Invincible season 3 just got confirmed for February.
The Frieren episodes have been removed. I’m on patreon but now all I see is up to episode 18 and I don’t see Arcane season 2 anymore. Does anyone know what’s happening?
Finally the best girl (Ubel) arrives.
Can’t believe Lola and Milena were Kanne and Lawine’s historians
Damn. I keep forgetting to watch the Frieren drops because I am living for the Haikyu reactions.
Happy belated birthday Dylan!! I hope you had a good day and wish you more in the future 😊
White people in medieval Europe speaking Japanese… Lola: so much more natural! I know what she meant, I just thought it was funny
I would recommend you watch 19 and 20 together next week. They go along really well.
Im so glad you also connected the Hunter Exam to the Mage Exam, and Ubel to Hisoka. I felt the exact same way.
Also Made in Abyss is peak anime, I shall keep praying it gets reacted to
They are not fighting with each other, they are flirting.
amo cuando encuentro a alguien mas con mis mismos gustos por el idioma original de los animes jaja. I love Japanese
Okay where is Dylan though? He’s missing his birthday
I thought they like each other romantically but don't realise it yet. They're pulling each other's pigtails like kindergarten boys and girls in the playground. I don't know if they do like each other that way or if they've just been together so long they ended up fighting like sisters, but either way I love them both. There are a few really interesting characters turning up for mage exams. The thing that worried me about this episode when I first saw it is that we have the conversation about Frieren losing to mages with less mana in the past, then we cut to the psychopathic serial killer whom even Kraft recognised as a dangerous mage; he beat up the bandits to save their lives after finding the bodies of some more bandits "torn-up by magic" in the woods. She's trouble. I hated Fern being in the same party as her. It gave me anxiety.
Who’s gonna tell them that every episode from this point on is going to end mid-sentence?
22 and 26 are probably the only exceptions to this but, wow, you are totally right. I never thought of that before.
Anyone else thought double drop meant two episodes of Frieren 😞
I still did until I read this D:
Ah yes, the era of Frieren cliffhangers
This big arc really has a lot of nasty cliffhangers. We reach Attack on Titan level here . I wouldn't be surprised if they watch 10 episodes next week :D
3:00 in “Himmel is HIM”
Since we're already pretty much in an “anime recommendation mood”, I would otherwise already post the Short Anime Slot Strawpoll. I actually wanted to do this at the end of November/beginning of December, but you can theoretically do it now. Just tick all the anime you want to see a reaction to. Lola and Milena can then simply use this as inspiration for the poll after Frieren. This time I've really put in practically all the bigger/more popular anime with less than 30 episodes, and I've added the number of episodes and the status (F = Finished, C = Cancelled but nice ending, O = Cancelled but open ending, U = unfinished / more is announced / is likely to get more episodes), even the ones that probably don't quite suit their taste. But I think that the top 20 will still be suitable in the end. And give love to the older/finished anime (F,C,O)! Especially in the Unfinished list, the anime still have a strong recency bias. https://strawpoll.com/Q0Zp76z39gM But as a little warning: This thing has been on Discord for 2 months and there have been small changes every now and then. Uzumaki got kicked out because of the bad adaptation, Apothecary Diaries got kicked out because of the announcement of season 2 for January, which brings the episode count up to 50 and so on. So it's possible that one or two anime will be removed until the beginning of December.
Might be wishful thinking but I hope odd taxi ends up on the poll. It’ll be a cool change of pace in my opinion.
Himmel isn't just a man, he's HIMmel! haha
Generally, the anime episodes followed a strict 1 episode per 2 manga chapters format. So now there's gonna be a few times the episodes feel like they stop abruptly during this arc because they needed to cram in a few more chapters into less episodes.
Haha The way this episode ended reminded me of attack on titan episode 2x7 when they cut it in the middle of the battle lol. Those cliffhangers were inhumane.
Speaking of LGBT anime I definitely need to recommend Girls Band Cry. Please add it to your watchlist girls, after watching so many reactions from you I just know that this is just the perfect show for you
Yayyy Frieyuu Friday
well, happy birthday dylan 😅 hope you had a great day and enjoyed it, clearly you have a girlfriend who cares ☺️ my grandpa's birthday would be this 31, he's also dead, but tbh i don't know many people who's birthday is in october, june and april are the ones i'm always wishing you someone happy birthday, mine included.
The good Violet Evergarden movie (not the second one which everyone hates, the first one which is consistent with the show and characters) has LGBT undertones if it’s something you wanna watch in your own time
Yeah, I do recommend checking out the first Violet movie. "the second one which everyone hates" Don't want to get into a whole discussion, just want to say that its more loved than hated. You don't get to #30 on MyAnimeList by being hated.
a condition for passing is all of the teammates being present at the end of the exam so fern will be ok for now
Close enough, welcome back Hisoka.
Welcome to the Hunter Exam 😅
Wish you would react to NANA for some peak writing and gay undertones
NANA has that FMAB humor, just pack it into a slice of life story with two girls in a new town. Super good, unfortunately relatively open ending and the manga is canceled. The author was in hospital for a long time and hasn't continued writing since. But I love it. I laughed so much.
Anime has no LGBT representation? Banana Fish, Sasaki and Miyano, Bloom Into You, Given, Yuri on Ice, Cherry Magic and a few hundred more are crying in the corner right now. There are so many LGBT anime. But most of them are in the romance genre, which we haven't gotten into on your Reaction Channel yet.
Witch hat atelier manga also has some spectacular LGBTQ representation, the anime is coming out in 2025 I believe
We all love Friekyu Friday
Happy Frieren Friday
the only thing that can fix this shitty day is frieren friday 😭 specially if it's combined with haikyuu. you don't understand, i almost broke my pinky, got a huge spliter in another finger, got into a fight with my boss to the point i almost quit my job, have a migraine and to add insult to injury the rain caught me on my way back home again and i'm freezing 💀 you know... one of those days 🫠
Hope you have a better day mate
The disgust at the dub at the beginning is so funny. They've become real anime fans now
While I like both voice tracks, I prefer the English dub. I think the English VA's for Stark and Ubel fit them better. You can also pick up on the names of the characters and places better. I've watched so many people react to this show with the Japanese voice track and they never get some of the name pronunciations correct.
Frieren Friday gives me such warm fuzzy feelings. Happy Friday everyone!
they couldnt remember seins name after 5 episodes i worry for them this arc
Happy Frieren Friday and happy birthday to Dylan!
Cute. Happy Birthday!! 🥳
What?? Double Drop Frieren Friday 💜 💙 ♥️
Frieren and Haikyuu is just what the doctor ordered at the end of a work week
