Haikyuu!! 1x02 Reaction

It's just good writing

good old times when my country was the dominant in olympics volleybol

and ep 03 tomorrowwww

omg I just saw that at the Olympics, they play Haikyu's music when the japanese volleyball team wins 🥹 (although I think its the second opening)

The wholesomeness continues!! Gonna have to drop out of patreon this month sadly due to financial reasons BUT looking forward to seeing their reaction to another best boy later on on yt! (His name starts with N hehe) 🥺

So who else has been watching a lot of volleyball at the Olympics?

the fact that you two are already in ur feels and it’s just episode 2 bodes so well for future episodes, one of the things i like most about you is how easily you guys empathise with fictional characters and how u get really invested in them ! i cannot wait for all the joy, the emotions and happy/sad tears 🥺 also looking forward to ur character ranking by the end of the season! you ought to do it despite how hard it is… i believe in u two

Do you have any plans to react to the ATLA live action?

Haikyuu is a rare shounen anime in that it has no villains. The show makes you love every rival team (or at least respect them). There are assholes, arrogant pricks, and only one team that's kinda shitty (they are represented by snakes), but nobody you will truly hate. Haikyu will make you like or appreciate everybody. EVERYBODY gets a flashback in Haikyuu. :D You will cry. A lot. The author was a volleyball player and huge volleyball fan, and he wrote this show to be as accurate as possible (with a few slightly implausible anime twists thrown in, of course). Molten and Mikasa (the two most popular volleyball manufacturers actually sponsored the show, so you'll see both balls featured throughout the show (Mikasa: blue and yellow, Molten: red, green, and white).

You've probably already checked but Kageyama's voice actor isn't Levi's. Levi's VA will appear later on but the voice of that character is INSANELY different from Levi's, recognizing him will be a bit challenging hahaha or at least it was definitely challenging for me but in the opposite way since I've watched Haikyuu before AoT, it was a shocking reveal lol That aside, as of this episode Hinata's VA is the only one you've heard before

Kageyama to me is basically a zuko on steroids. It’s like if you took zuko put him in a volleyball team and made him a little meaner lol. He has a big heart tho.

Can't wait to see the next reaction, amazing once again

Off-topic but does anyone else absolutely hate the new Patreon comments layout?

I don't know how the others feel about it, but I would watch 4 and 5, as well as 6 and 7 together.

Fans almost always call them Hinata and Kageyama instead of Shoyo and Tobio which are their first names

I forgot how dramatic Kageyama was in this episode lol

Man I really can’t describe the feeling this show will give you girls the further it goes, this show is one of those shows that just keeps getting better and better.

The name "Karasuno" contains the Japanese character "karasu" (烏) which means "crow" and that's where the crow theme comes from! Also, the little birds you have on the back of the shirt are actually baby crows but I can't deny they look more like ducks than anything else hahah And yes, just like Milena said Japanese high-schools last for three years! You'll eventually get to learn who's in which year since they do mention it fairly often so there's no need to worry about it too much right now ^^

The music in this show is legit my favorite OST in anime. So hopeful and energetic, idk how else to describe it

Also the girl that you met in this episode is their manager! She's also a student, she's a 3rd year like the captain. In Japan, school sports clubs can have managers who are fellow students, and they usually handle odd jobs like equipment and admin

In Japan, high school is three years! So you'll often hear 1st years/2nd years/3rd years mentioned throughout the show. Our two main boys are 1st years, Tanaka is 2nd year and the captain is 3rd year :)

This might sound like the craziest suggestion ever but would you guys ever consider reacting to just the first episode of Yu Yu Hakusho 🙏 It's Togashi's predecessor to Hunter x Hunter :)

Nice that my fun fact in the reaction to the first episode directly answered your question about the meaning of the word Haikyuu :D

Oh yay a happy surprise!

Yayyy. Get to watch LM while enjoying my breakfast
