I was as happy as you girls when I recognize it's the Starks and Winterfell and I was expecting it . I think you will like Cregan Stark and I will leave it at that .

You should be happy it want the book version of Blood and Cheese. In the books everything is described and showed when they kill the son. She also points at the other son (she has another one not shown in the show in the books) in hopes that they would kill the youngest one and not the heir. In the show it seems she pointed at the heir in hopes they wouldn’t believe her.

Fun fact since I don’t know how the show will represent her reaction but Rhaenyra in the books was while not ordering his dead specifically was rather okay with Aegon’s sons death. Both sides in the book are more sinister and are okay with way more horrible shit to put it lightly lol. I like the show too but imo the show made it too much of a good vs evil narrative. Hated what they did with cole's character, but this is only the first episode, they might explain wtf that was other than that the episode was great.

i think rhaenyra spoke a total of 4 words the entire ep and yet they still carried the emotional weight of the ep. (also its my birthday today and i didnt expect hotd being the 1st slot this week so thanks🫡)

At 12:05 ish you are 100000% correct. As a diehard book reader myself I haven’t had that many issues with the show tbh and it’s been very good even when taking its liberties from the book. But that scene when Rhaenys came up and killed a bunch of innocent people except the king who usurped the rightful Queen (Aegon is also not as comically evil he was made to be in s1 so far s2 has depicted him more accurate to the book since he wants to be a liked king as you see in the episode) just to have a girl boss moment was truly the lowest part of the show. Only thing out of very few things I have massive complaints about tbh. In the books that didn’t happen to my memory and also Aegon’s dragon sunfyre (extremely beatify dragon not yet seen in the show) was at his coronation and would have attacked Rhaenys immediately if sunfyre attended the coronation in the show.

Jace actor is the same one from episode 8 and forward from last season just saying.
