Pre Release - The Mediterranean Special Stage 03
Hi everyone, hope you're doing well.
There is still much work on the Stage 03 build to be done, mainly on cosmetics like vegetation refining, time trial assets, powerlines, road signs and so on. Plus, Spittlebug is still in the process of making the pacenotes.
However, most of the thing is OK, and I thought it would be cool to let you get a few practice runs on these roads for the weekend, so here is a work in progress build for you to enjoy. No time trials, one spawn location, no end roads barriers, many details to add, but I think its already worth the drive. The small village is still really rough tho, will be worked out soon.
Download : outdated, here's the final version instead :)
Install : place the .zip archive in your USER/mods folder

I just tried it. This is gonna be so much fun! Very much variation and already so many nice details (like the dirt on the road where the dirt-roads branch off). I love that the roads are a bit rough, so that you have some trouble with super cars. :-) The offroad section through the canyon also feels promising. Very nice work!
Thank you for your feedback, and glad you appreciate it! Yes, roads are inspired by ones you wouldnt want to bring your average supercar on, indeed ^^ Most of this is also functionnal, dark tarmac grips better, patches of it are bumpy, dirt laid on tarmac is slippery, driving in the grass isnt always a good idea and so on. Currently Im trying to find ways to reduce a bit computing loads, specially on the north section, without compromizing visual density. Not sure how Ill find out. Anyways, does it works ok for you, performance wise?
There was indeed a problem with some .json files, I updated the download and it should be OK now. Sorry all for the inconvenience.
Seems like the map is a bit broken, half the grass has "no texture" and at the default spawn point there's quite a few "no mesh" objects. I have also cleaned the cache and it didn't fix it.
Ah this is really strange, I tested it on another computer than the one Inm working on and it was all fine. Maybe you had a corrupted download, you can try to clear your browser cache and download it again. Ill double check asap, let me know if it solves the issue.
