Upcoming Update Tomorrow (May 12, 2026)
Hello everyone!
I hope you all are doing well. And yes, its that time again. For those who don't know, tomorrow there will be a Base Game Update that is supposed to include over 150+ bug fixes. Keep in mind mods will probably break, and modders will be busy testing and updating.
This is just a quick reminder to:
✅ Remove your mods before updating. (PLEASE do this!)
✅Back up your tray and save files. (Also, PLEASE do this!)
✅ Once you've updated, test your game/saves without mods first to make sure everything is okay.
✅ Re-enable mods in settings.
✅DELETE your localthumbcache.
✅ Give modders enough time and grace to test/update their mods.
For those who don't want to update, stay offline and make sure auto-updates are turned off. I strongly recommend waiting until things settle and mods are confirmed compatible. What you choose to do is up to you but just understand the risks and practice proper mod care and management.

Also, please avoid spamming me with questions on when I'm updating... remember I am currently grad school (I literally have a project due this week...sigh) and working. While I do my best to keep things moving, this means updates may take a few days or up to a week, depending on how the update impacted my mods, and how long testing takes.
As usual after testing, I will also make an announcement here on my Patreon and you can also keep an eye on my mod tracker.

this is my first update with mods in the game so thank you for the reminder!! take your time and good luck with school, we’ll play offline in the meantime :)
FOCUS school is not a game... SIMS 4 is. We understand...
No worries school comes first. Good luck with your classes. Im gonna play offline for awhile until majority of big mods are updated.
