Ever wanted to explore where your Sim is REALLY from? Hopefully this mod can help you do that!

PLEASE. READ. CAREFULLY.

Native Traits & Demonyms:

Like me, you might be a fan of the Language Barriers mod. While I enjoyed using it, I've always wanted something a bit more specific. This mod allows you to give your Sims (Infants-Elders) native traits based on the world they are from. You have the option to choose from 30 worlds (excluding Batuu).

This mod groups worlds into cultural families:

• SIMLISH → Choose from Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, San Myshuno, Brindleton Bay, Del Sol Valley, Strangerville, Evergreen Harbor, Copperdale, San Sequoia, Chestnut Ridge, Britechester, Henford-on-Bagley, Moonwood Mill, Granite Falls, Gibbi Point, Innisgreen.

• WINDENBURGIAN → Windenburg
• SULANESE → Sulani
• KOMOREBIAN→ Mt. Komorebi
• TARTOSAN →Tartosa
• ENAMORADAN → Ciudad Enamorada
• NORDIC→ Nordhaven
• SELVADORAN → Selvadora
• TOMARANGI → Tomarang
• ONDARITE → Ondarion
• RAVENITE → Ravenwood
• GLIMMERBROOKIAN → Glimmerbrook
• HOLLOWAN → Forgotten Hollow

In order to access the native types:
• Enable Cheats (CTRL+SHIFT+C), type in testingcheats true
• Shift Click on your Sim to access the Origins Pie Menu.
• There you will see the Native Types submenu where you can choose which world your Sim is a native of. (You will also be able to randomize a native type of your choice.! 🎲)

Accents & Accent Preferences:

Accent Types:

This mod also introduces accent types based on a few of the worlds. I included 17 (I'll consider adding accents for the other worlds in a future update, if anyone wants me to). Feel free to imagine the accents as you'd like:

You can access the accents by shift clicking on your Sim and selecting the Accent Pie Menu.

Accent Preferences:

With accent types also comes accent preferences. (Under the Accent pie menu). You can decide whether your Sim likes or hates a particular accent type.

For accents your Sims like, they will get a happy buff. For accents they HATE, they will get an uncomfortable buff. These buffs are proximity based, so as long as your Sim is in the vicinity of the accent the buff will persist.

Code Switching:

If your Sims don't like their accents, they will have the option to practice code switching on any mirror. They will get a random buff; either one that makes them confident or uncomfortable.

Social Interactions:

Hey don't worry. Maybe there's a Sim who likes your Sim's accent. Sims will have the option to compliment another Sim's accent. This can be found in the Affection (Friendly) subcategory.

For other not so innocent Sims, they can choose to weaponize their accents. This can be found in the Flirtation (Romance) subcategory. The target Sim might respond a few ways...depending on how down bad they are.

23andSul and Genetics

Okay... but what if your Sim doesn't know where they're from? They will have the option to take a 23&Sul (23&Me dupe) test.

On any computer, you can find the 23&Sul interactions under the Origins Pie Menu and then the Genetics submenu. 23andSul tests are §200.

Your Sim can purchase a kit from the computer, and it will arrive in their inventory.

23&Sul Steps:

• #1: First place your 23&Sul test kit some place where your Sim has enough space to stand. If you don't, the animation might not work properly. I recommend counters, dining tables (with no chairs in the way), coffee tables, even the floor sometimes works it depends on how much space the Sim has. Then select the Take 23andSul Test button.

• #2: Speaking of animation, I literally took part of the animation from the Chemical Analyzer lol. So, it might look a little janky at the end. However, your Sim will get a notification once they're done.

• #3: After they're finished with the test, have your Sim take it to the mailbox to mail it in. (Which will cost another §200). Your Sim will either feel happy or tense about mailing their results. Your Sim's results will come back in 24 hours. (Or you can cheat it. Scroll down to the end to see cheats)

• #4: In the meantime, your Sim can create their 23&Sul account on the computer. They will HAVE to do this before getting their results.

Genetic Compositions:

Once the results are in, your Sim will get a break down of their genetic compositions. These are totally random (I created around 30 different combinations). Your Sim will also get buff and can feel either Happy, Inspired, Embarrassed, Tense, etc... based on the results.

Passports:

I also created a passport system for storytelling purposes. The price is §200 (again lol). Your Sim can apply for the following passports:

• Simlish
• Gibbite
• Innish (even though it's in the Simlish cultural family, I imagine it has its own passport)
• Tartosan
• Hollowan
• Komorebian
• Nordic
• Ravenite
• Glimmerbrookian
• Selvadoran
• Sulanese
• Tomarangi
• Gibbite (even though it's in the Simlish cultural family, I imagine it has its own passport)
• Ondarion
• Windenburgian
• Enamoradan
• Innish

Your Sim can apply for one passport at a time. The passport will take 24 hours to be delivered (or again, you can cheat it. Cheats are at the end of this post). After your Sim retrieves it from the mailbox, it will be in their inventory.

I'm not a cc creator. But I had Canva, Blender, SketchFab and a dream to make these passports objects. 😂They're not the best and are purely decorative but feel free to use them for any storytelling if you'd like!

SimGlobal Study Abroad Program (For Teens)

Last but not least, I created a Study Abroad system (SimGlobal Study Abroad Program) for teen Sims.

The Process:

You can find the Study Abroad pie menu on the computer under the Origins tab. To join, your Sim will:
• Need to be an A student.
• Write a Personal Statement

After sending your Personal Statement, the committee will deliberate on a decision. (It takes about five in game hours, but of course you can cheat it).

After approval, your Sim will have to apply which will cost §5,000. They can also choose any teen Sim to be their Study Abroad Partner (this is mainly for storytelling purposes, and kind of an easy way for your Sim to find a friend). This is an optional step.

Requirements:

Before going abroad, your Sim will HAVE to purchase:

• an e-Sim Visa (§400)
• Simternational Insurance (§1,000)

Your Sim will then be able to choose a Destination (again this is more so for storytelling) they can choose from the following worlds: Britechester, Ciudad Enamorada, Sulani, Gibbi Point, Mt. Komo, Innisgreeen, Nordhaven, Ondarion, Gibbi Point, Selvadora, Tomarang, Tartosa, and Windenburg.

Once done, click on your Sim and you should see the Go on Study Abroad Trip. Of course this is just a rabbithole. But your teen Sim will be gone for three days. You'll have to schedule this around your Teen's school hours (maybe weekends, PTO, Vacation Days, or adeepindigo's Education Overhaul mod which allows your Sim to take Summer and Winter breaks)

When they return, your Sim will get a buff based on whether they enjoyed it or not. They will also bring back a souvenir from their trip.

Cheats (Debug):

I also created a few cheats for those who don't feel like waiting (valid) You can find cheats by:

• Enabling cheats
• Shift+Clicking your Sim and finding the Origin Cheats submenu under the Origins pie menu.

Cheats include:
• Removing the Passport Timer Cooldown (Passports Timer Removal)
• Cheat 23andSul Results Early
• Removing the Cooldown for when your Sim's passport is delivered (Retrieving your Passport Early)
• Removing the Cooldown after your Sim sends their Personal Statement (Cheat Committee Decision)

Under the Origin tab on your Sims, you will also have the option to Reset your Sim's Accents Likes and Dislikes and Remove their Native Types.
