Loma Beta 2.0 coming soon......
Hello Patreon subscribers! It's just about that time! I have been working tirelessly on the project trying to get it to a point that is very playable (in fact I've fallen asleep at the computer multiple nights in a row over the last couple weeks). That being said, once I push out a second version, I am going to take just a couple days off and recharge before getting back to work. I've put 62 hours into the project over the last 10 days on top of my normal job and other responsibilities. Even I had forgotten how many things there are to do to finish a map. Please keep in mind that the version you are receiving is still quite a ways from being finished!!! It's going to get better yet.
One of the things I have been focussing a lot of time on is modeling custom buildings and texturing them myself. Having never done any texturing before, I've spent many hours learning and getting better at it. I'm still terribly slow and not as good as many, but it will allow me to bring custom things to the map that I normally could not. This map has to have custom buildings because of how unique they are and the history of the area.
I have also decided to include everything in the map instead of requiring an additional download. Right now the map is just over 1 GB which I am pretty happy with at this point in the project. I hope that it will stay in the 1.5 GB range when the project is complete but we will see how that progresses.
Added since initial beta:
-Multi terrain angle
-Savegame error fixed
-Crop errors fixed
-Traffic
-Border terrain with trees
-Environment adjustments
-Two farms
-Two beef cattle operations (still WIP)
-The entire town of Loma
-A second sellpoint
-Parked cars that appear/disappear during the day
-Seasonal items around town
-Vehicle dealership
-Seed dealership
-Livestock dealership
-Detail work around the map
Yet to finish:
- Foliage adjustments. I don't know what I'm going to be capable of pulling off here, but will try to customize it as much as I can. At initial glance, the seasonal grass that you are seeing on maps now does not look easy to manipulate or duplicate to another type of grass.
- Ground texture adjustments. Still going to make a few changes here for a more custom look.
-Adjusting all sorts of numbers. I haven't yet begun to adjust seed rates, yields, fertilizer requirements, prices, etc.
-Several custom buildings to finish.
-Signage throughout the map needs finished.
-Addition of 1-2 more farms and another cattle operation.
-Detailing to lots of areas (vehicle dealership, seed dealership, farms, etc.)
-One unique little project that will be a fun addition to the map.
-Any bug fixes or errors you find.
-PDA improvements
-Lots and lots of credits to sort out and include
-Things I haven't even thought about yet that will come up.......
My next post will include instructions on how the process of receiving your download link will work. Look for that late tonight; I've got a ton to do between now and then.
Your support is the only reason this project is alive.
