Reflection & FrontGlo [cas background & cas lighting mod]
A minimalistic CAS background with floor reflection! Compatible with horses and also comes with several CAS lighting mods to choose from.

Is this mod conflicting with https://www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/sims-4-cas-favourites-mod ? background suddenly looks like a purple picture with green question mark

Do you think you could ever make one with a less harsh mirror effect? So that the mirror is more faded
Sounds like an interesting idea! It's doable to replicate the faded reflection through some texture configuring, though whether they may be released may depend on how good/bad it may look on a flatter background like these.
Hi! Wonderful mod. Is it possible to use with Northern Siberian Winds "SHINE CAS LIGHTING ALL COLORS"? I'd love the combination of the rim light and the reflection at the feet. edit: Yes it does work. Currently I have the Reflection_White and Shine Cas lighting Pink.

So the reflection just stop working lighting is still there but no reflection. I have made sure that all things that need to be deleted have been. Is this happening to anyone else and if so how was it fixed

just download the .zip file w/ PASTELS and extract the file, it has the pink version of the bg
I've been enjoying these so much, i frequently swap out the backgrounds for white/black/colorful for my screenshot needs and they honestly give the illusion of shaders somehow?? i cant wait for the green background to come out!!
I haven't added any mods that could affect this, all of them in my folder have always worked without problems, but suddenly half of the Cas is black and there is no reflection anymore. How annoying.
Whyyyyyyyyyyy doesn't it work...? I followed your instructions and put just this one file in the mod folder, but the overlay doesn't apply. Your other background overlays don't work either, how do I reset the resource.cfg?
Maybe is because you download the ". zip" ones. The Sims 4 doesn't read folders or files with ". zip" only PACKAGE or TS4SCRIPT etc. . . If the problem is not that maybe you don't extract it, a lot of people just copy and paste the cc in mods but the ones with ". zip" you should extract.
The reflection isnt working for me, is there any conflicting mods that i need to be aware of?
No conflicting mods unless you have 2 cas background overrides installed Check if reflection setting is enabled and try resetting/deleting the resource.cfg, usually that helps
all my graphics are on high or very high but the reflection still isn't working.

Hey! I can't see from the images if it's supposed to look like that, but the mod is making the eye scleras quite dark in the corners, like a shadow overlay all over the whites. I have no conflicting CAS mods. I love the light mod and would really like to use it in my game. 😅
hey, sorry for the late reply. For the front glo lighting (more prominent on version 1) they do affect the sclera yes, due to the way it's set up. If that bothers you, I'd recommend my SimpleGlo lighting, where I tried to balance it out ^^
CASLight Doesn't work. Do I need to download a pre-mod?
no need to download other mods just to use my cas light mod. Just make sure you don't have any conflicting cas light mods
how did you get yours to work? ive went through everything i have. no other cas backgrounds. mizoreyukii isnt in my game. its just the regular ea background.

Hey! I just wanted to say that I just downloaded the light grey version and im sure its gonna look good but I actually wanted to ask about the sims you used to show the room versions, do you have them somewhere to download? They look great!
which sims do you mean? if it's the mannequins, I believe they are downloadable from the gallery!

I don't have plans to recolor them atm, but you can find pink recolors by estellics & dumbabieee on tumblr :)
Hey, I'm having a bit of trouble here. I originally had the light grey but wanted to switch to black with the dark mode UI, but it still shows the light grey in the game. the light grey one was removed from my mods folder and just has the black one btw.
Hello as well, sorry for the late reply! Don't know if you've fixed it by now but what you can do is delete the cache files and delete the resource.cfg file so it can regenerate. Those 2 methods usually helps
hello i am trying to use this but the shine at the bottom of the feet doesn't pop up and then when i try to use the white bg the floor is black
Do you have the reflection setting set to on? It needs to be enabled to see the reflection. If it's disabled, it will show the texture instead

Hello! First of all love your work! Second, I am trying to recolor this. I am VERY new to this type of stuff. How would one go about doing so?
thank you! To recolor this, you'd need Sims 4 studio to open the package file and a photo editing software to edit the texture (you can use Photopea on web). 1. Once you opened (any of the) package file in S4S, go to the Texture tab, then export the first Diffuse image as png 2. Open the png file in the photo editing software, then change the colors to your liking and save the image again 3. Back in S4S, import your recolored texture and that should be it :)
The v2 rim only working on pets
hi! if it's only working on pets then you might have a conflicting cas lighting somewhere in your mods folder that has the sim lighting data. Try looking for it, keep one lighting mod at a time and delete the cache files if needed.
For some reason, this will not show in my game. I've downloaded the CASBG_01 Reflection in Black and it doesnt show. :(
hey christina! does it happen to show the default EA cas bg? if so, that could likely be caused by having an older version of the no fade on everything mod by mizoreyukii (i've got some reports about it and the cas bg working after updating the mod). If you happen to have that, you can try updating that mod and see if it works. If not, then it could be a stray cas background override located somewhere in your mods folder. Usually if a CAS bg doesn't work, it's always due to a conflicting file.
