Apprentice Amorato

I think I posted this on MySpace waayyy back in the day but this is one of those songs that just sits in a a folder somewhere. When I wrote the music, I was really excited. Then I wrote and sang the lyrics and felt like this song was more of a fit for my mom's voice. When I added the Chaka Khan-ish layered vocals in the bridge (I guess if you call it that), I definitely felt like it was not for me. It would be cool to redo the entire song, modernize the beat, add some live instruments and have my mom sing it with me maybe doing some backgrounds.

This song is about the beginning of a relationship and how we start out as each other's apprentices learning the art of how to love one another. Do we ever become masters?

Nah. Nope. Maybe. Ask me in my next life.
