Union Station
My wedding day was the best day of my life. It was the day I felt the most beautiful, the most loved and it marked the creation of my own family with my husband. It was also the last time my core family was together and because I was so overwhelmed with emotion, I knew that I would revisit that feeling artistically when I had time to process everything.
The bringing together of people to celebrate me and Brian is a timeless fixture in my brain of what it feels when all of the planets align or when you win the lottery or something.
The title of this song pays homage to meeting Brian at the altar but also of the train station in downtown LA where I took the train many weekends to visit home during college. The lyrics are about being present in the happiest moment of your life and celebrate being human.
The coolest thing about this song is the part two section where Brian added some vocal parts. He doesn't sing very often (if at all) but whenever I need him on a track, he comes through (in more ways than one).
This Friday, I find myself tired Anomalies.
This post is dedicated to my Grandma's partner George who left earth early this morning. He can finally see his Lil Baby again and hold her close.
