Custom Paths: PC Classic Mini Will Integrate Better with Your Existing Emulation Setup
I’m currently working on a new feature that will allow you to set custom paths for games and covers, making it much easier to integrate the PC Classic Mini Collection into your existing setups (LaunchBox, EmulationStation, etc.).
The Problem: Currently, if you already have a working setup with another launcher and want to use any Classic Mini, you have to make a copy of the corresponding ROMs into the "games" folder of each specific Classic Mini app. This is not ideal.
The Solution: With the upcoming update, you can share ROM folders across launchers seamlessly. Instead of creating duplicate files, you can simply point the PC Classic Mini app to your existing ROM location via the settings file and you're done! Your current launcher is untouched, keeps working as usual, but you now have the Classic Mini as an alternative GUI!
I am currently testing this feature on my own PC, as I mainly use LaunchBox. As soon as testing is complete, I will update the posts for each app!
Note: The upcoming NEO GEO AES Classic Mini will have this feature available at launch.
Stay Awesome! see you next post!

Will it use Launchbox's metadata files?
You can set the path for LaunchBox covers, but be aware that the image names there don’t always match the ROM names. However, if you rename the covers to match the ROMs exactly, they will still work in LaunchBox and will also be compatible with the Classic Mini. IMPORTANT: LaunchBox image sizes are not standardized; some are small while others are unnecessarily large, which can negatively affect the app's performance. Instead, I recommend getting your own dedicated cover set. On that note, I created an "Image Helper" app a few days ago that handles this for you by renaming your images to match your ROM collection. You can give that a try, or simply download an additional cover pack (I have a couple uploaded).
