Mixtape Is a Reminder That Teenagers Suck and Always Have

KC really did a fantastic job with this one. I've been wrestling with my own feelings and relationship with nostalgia and he put out some really interesting ideas here.

A really nice video. Love the idea of being too dad to relate to these teens. Don't think this is a game that I'll be opening my wallet for specifically, but maybe as part of a future bundle...

Had me in the first half, but landed the plane and seems like you had an impactful interaction with the game. This was a great video to watch, would absolutely catch more of these in the future

Its funny to think how much more of an interesting game they could've made if they just made the plot be the actual roadtrip and have the story be that the roadtrip is supposed to end with her going to the big city for her dreams but discovering her value in other people's lives and their value in hers. But TBH it only takes 1 or 2 interviews/talks from the creator of this game to know he's not capable of writing a meaningful story with good characters that actually develop. Instead we just got a story where no one learns anything and the outcomes are predictable from the initial framing. I find it interesting when people end up relating to this who didn't grow up in this exact kind of setting, because I did and the characters all feel like an alien attempting to recreate my childhood without enough detail or context to make it feel honest. The best part of the game is spamming the rock out buttons so she yells CHEESE CHEESE CHEESE CHEESE over an over again while ordering a burger.
