I can't believe it's taken me an entire week to watch this reaction! First of all, Khaphrao is a little cutie angel who is too good for this world, she is perfect and i would die for her. Second, I agree with you that i just don't think the aunt-drama was the right drama for this show to have. It's not that I don't think mental health storylines are important; god knows i know they're important, but it's such a departure from the rest of the 4e shows. Especially when we find out that Phrao's dad died protecting Fai's father from disgruntled businessmen/hitmen or whatever. It would have made a lot more sense (and would have been a lot more exciting) for the girls to have had to work together to stop these shady business gangsters from coming after Fai's father and/or stealing their business, similar to The Earth. It also would have been much MUCH more enjoyable overall, because they probably would have gotten closer earlier, like episode 4 or 5, and i wouldn't have been SO pissed at Fai for being a bitch for 80% of the show. If that had happened, then the pacing of the show would have been a lot better, and there would have been way more time to A) actually enjoy them being together, and B) the finale would have had more time for the wedding and the cousins (canNOT believe we didn't get Bua catching the bouquet!??? Get that girl a GF OMG!). I have heard that we have a couple (?) of special episodes on the way, so hopefully we will get to see more cousin time (and maybe some kids?!) in those, so hopefully some other stuff will get resolved there too, but i just wish the pacing had been a bit more even so this finale didn't have to be feature-length (and The Water and The Air for that matter!) and it felt a bit more satisfying. This is the finale of the first ever GL mega-series after all, it's a big deal! After this episode in particular, i think it's such a shame we didn't get to see more of Fai and Phrao together honestly. I actually think they have the sweetest and most comfortable relationship out of all 4 couples, and Namnueng and Noey were doing absolutely STELLAR work this episode! They do a good job of being at each other's throats, but they really crush the emotional stuff actually. It's such a shame we didn't get to see more of that. Of course, as with all of the 4E shows, i did enjoy it, and after this last episode, i hope we get to see more of Namnueng and Noey together. It's definitely bittersweet that i won't have a 4e show to look forward to every week any more, and your reactions too! I'm in between shows that i'm really loving right now tbh, might have to go and watch some of the older shows that i missed. But yeah there's definitely going to be a 4e shaped hole in my heart for a while. Seeing the characters really became like seeing old friends by the end of the shows. Personally, even though i think The Earth was the best of the 4 in terms of pacing, story, ect., The Water is still my favourite. Englot are my CP, and the moments of just the two of them, talking and growing closer with no one else around to interrupt them, falling in love quietly and building something in the space between them, was really unmatched. The pacing of the show was pretty wonky, but them as a couple really can't be beaten imo. So happy i got to watch along with you guys for all these months, it's been so much fun and really gave me something to look forward to during some tough times. I also heard a rumor that the writer of 4e also wrote another series of 4 books from the perspective of 4 "bottoms" (whatever that means), so here's hoping we'll get another mega-series soon!

I'm sad that the series finished. But I can say overall there was a top notch in every aspect for my self. I really enjoyed your reactions. Because I have someone to share my thoughts. Not me a single girl trying to find a girl in the future so maybe I can share the Gl side of my life haha šŸ™ˆ

Despite the IDF drama, artist scheduling conflicts, production delays and story changes all impacting the four series on some level (like cousins' scenes being cut or re-cast) I did enjoy watching every Saturday & so glad Northstar took over to finish this huge & 1st of its kind gl project. Also, was surprised I fell in love with AppleMim and NNN. Their acting & on-screen chemistry was great! Here's my ranking, but I'm going to miss all of the cp's on my screenšŸ’–šŸ„¹ 1. Fire 2. Earth 3. Air 4. Water

I'm now in the process of detaching from 4Elements.. They're a huge part of my year and I'm gonna miss them all. I felt so sad after ep7 last week realizing the entire mega series is about to end. it was such a great journey. Lom & Blew's absence in majority of Fire, I think is because of what happened with their previous company. I honestly think the writers had to make changes to the original script to adjust with Freen & Becky's contract issues. They actually filmed parts of The Air first then stopped for a long time then the prod team started filming Earth & Water then many months later resumed filming for Air. I also think FreenBecky & Englot's schedules played a part too why they appeared so little in Fire.. Well, if I'm gonna make a reference to the novel, Nam & Lada didn't appear that much in Fire too. Din, Lom, Rose & Blew had more appearances than them but even in the novel, Fire has the least cousins participation. But I think it's within the premise of the story coz Aunt Panee also didn't like the cousins around so they rarely visit Fai's place. Fai and Kaphrao hardly traveled too.. P'Tik, the producer of 4Elements, announced they will be releasing something next week but I don't think it's gonna be a special episode (contrary to what the majority thinks). I think they will release A Behind The Scenes Special. So I'm not expecting a special or additional episodes to come. I love all the 4 Elements series, there's not one I didn't like but if I'm gonna do a ranking it's gonna be.. 1. The Fire 2. The Air 3. The Earth (almost had as #2) 4. The Water I know it's gonna be a long shot, but I hope all 8 of them will work with each other again in the future. There will be a 4Elements FanCon next month, livestreaming tickets are available for purchase. I'm never missing that coz it might be the last time I see all 8 of them together.

One thing I do appreciate your reactions is that you have no problems being honest on how you perceive a series. I especially love how you wait to give your full thoughts on the series until the last episode. The one scene they omitted I had hoped they kept in the show was along with visiting Din and Rose, Fai also introduced Kaphrao to Lom and Blew at their new cafe. The Fire had less cousin time out of all the books, it was mainly focused on just the family and Kaphrao. If I had to list my favorite last episode it would be: Water, Earth, Fire, and Water. As for in its entirety, I would say Fire/Earth and Water/Air. There is an unconfirmed hint by - I don’t know what her position is in the project - but she hinted there may be a continuation of the 4 Elements. They may do a project of the final book in the series that is just the cousins with their families (wives and children) interacting. Again, she hinted at a possibly but not confirmed or what. I hope they do because I would love to see the kids of the cousins and how their lives been especially Fire since we didn’t get to see them as a married couple further down the road like the previous cousins.

My ranking: #1 "The Earth" - #2 "The Air" - #3 "The Fire" - #4 "The Water" - but the difference between #1 and #3 is minuscule.

The finale starts with Akanee running into the emergency room where a crying Fai waits for news about Panee. Fai didn’t mean to cause this, she claims, she was just trying to protect Kaphrao. Akanee tells her not to worry and promises to be there to protect her no matter what happens as he hugs her. Then, the doctor tells them that Panee is out of immediate danger, and that she passed out due to high blood pressure caused by sudden stress. Her condition is stable now, but she will be kept overnight at the hospital for observation. Akanee tells his daughter that Panee will be all right. Fai stays at her side until Akanee convinces her to take some rest and come back the next day, as she will sleep through the night having been administered sleeping pills. They return home to Kaphrao who inquires about Panee because she was worried sick about her. Fai apologizes for making her feel that way as she tells her that Panee is out of danger, but Kaphrao takes her hand and claims it’s her who has to say sorry, then takes her for a walk… …and they talk beside a river bed with Fai admitting that she is worried about Panee, but that she also cares about Kaphrao. Kaphrao tells her if she ever had to choose, she should choose Panee first, because she knows how much she loves her, and she doesn’t want to be the cause for them falling out. Fai admits that she loves her a lot, but argues that she is not letting anyone take her away from her, and claims that there’s no making choices. Kaphrao asks what if one day she really has to choose, and after a while, Fai claims to a crying Kaphrao that she is going to choose their happiness then, and promises to never make her cry again. She kisses Kaphrao, dries her tears and hugs her. The next day, the return to the hospital together, with Kaphrao hesitant to walk in with her, but Fai promising to not let her face anything like that alone again. So, they enter the room holding hands, Fai telling Panee that she brought Kaphrao to visit her, and to apologize. But Panee throws her out and even throws a vase at her, asking if she wants her to die right on this bad. Kaphrao decides to better go wait outside as Panee claims that in the end, Fai chose Kaphrao and not her. She claims that she loves her aunt the most, but Panee asks why she is doing this to her, then, why choose her? She argues that Kaphrao is the cause of all this sh*t, but Fai claims that she genuinely loves her. Panee claims that she loves Kaphrao and not her, she claims to have cared for her since her mother passed away, but she’s leaving her for someone who just came into her life. She already lost her mother, she claims, and can’t afford to lose her too. She accuses her that she wishes that Panee would rather be dead, but a crying Fai tells her not to say that. She tells her that she must choose either her or Kaphrao, and if she insists to choose her, then she should go and prepare a funeral for her. Fai returns to Kaphrao who is waiting outside Panee’s room asking how it went. Fai downplays her aunts wishes by claiming she is just a little upset, but Kaphrao claims that Fai doesn’t look well and wants to make sure that everything is okay. Fai claims that she just feels bad for her as they leave holding hands. Kaphrao returns to find Nod is waiting for her, who claims to have already heard what happened. Kaphrao claims she is okay and more worried about Fai, but Nod repeats her offer to move to Bangkok with her, thinking Panee will never accept her. She promises to take care of her, and Kaphrao really appreciates it, but can’t leave Fai alone. If she is going to move there, at must be because both Fai and herself agree to it, she claims. And about liking her, she is afraid that she can’t accept her feelings, claiming that Nod is her best friend and the person she trusts the most, but that is all she can give her. Nod realizes that she has lost, claiming it’s all right, no matter what happens they will always be friends. She will always be there for you like she has always been, she claims, and Kaphrao thanks her for it as she hugs her. Fai is deep in thoughts as Kaphrao comes to her and wants to know what she is thinking about. She claims to be thinking about work, but Kaphrao thinks she is such a bad liar, as she claims that Panee still doesn’t approve of her. Fai argues that there is no way she’d break up with her, and Kaphrao admits the same, claiming the only persons who can separate them are themselves, arguing that Panee can never break them apart, Kaphrao won’t let her. Fai thought that she would play the ā€˜angel card’ and tell her to pick Panee, but Kaphrao vows to do everything she can to prove herself to Panee and make her finally accept her, just like how Fai has accepted that she loves Kaphrao. But Fai fears that if she chooses Kaphrao, Panee said she’d kill herself. We get a sequence where Fai rushes to the hospital to learn that Panee has tried to commit s*icide, with the nurse getting there in time to save her, and the doctor sending a psychiatrist to talk to her. The doctor argues that the situation is getting worse and could escalate, recommending proper therapy. Fai claims to her father that she is such a terrible niece for never noticing her illness, but Akanee thinks she has been an amazing niece all this time, it’s rather Panee who has been too obsessed with her. But Fai doesn’t understand why Panee is so unhappy to see her in love. Akanee claims that she loves her mother and her so much, and reports they grew up having only each other. He actually feels sorry for her and tears up as he relates that she was married to a horrible man and ended up getting a divorce, having been disappointed in love so many times that she had tried to kill herself before. Fai’s mother saved her back then, and that’s why her mother meant the world to Panee. When her mother married and got her, Panee always came to help take care of her. But after her mother passed away Panee was so lost and thought she had no one left. But she still has Fai, he claims, and she is her anchor, he tells her as we see scenes of happy time between Fai and Panee, her everything in life. But then, she fell in love with Kaphrao, causing Panee to be afraid that she might lose all the love Fai has for her. He never thought that the love Panee has for her could hust other people this much. Fai claims that maybe after seeing a psychiatrist for a while, she might get better, but Akanee claims the problem is that the doctor told him that for now, they should keep her away from whatever arouses her to be like this, and that is Kaphrao. Fai is crying at home thinking about Panee and Kaphrao, with Kaphrao seeing her through the window. Afterwards, Fai tells Kaphrao that Panee needs to see a psychiatrist, and Kaphrao thinks that’s a good idea and mentions whether she really meant to k*ll herself or just wanted to get her attention, it’s seriously concerning. But Fai is worried about Kaphrao as well, but Kaphrao tells her that she will go to work with Nam in Hua Hin, because she doesn’t want to cause Fai and Panee any more trouble, and so Fai can focus on taking care of her aunt. If she’s still around she will only arouse Panee’s illness and make it worse. Fai really doesn’t want them to be like this, and Kaphrao claims it’s all right. Right now, she claims, taking care of her aunt is her first priority, and they will only be apart for a while. They hug and cry, and tell each other they love each other. Afterwards, they work apart with only texting each other, and Fai feeling lonely without Kaphrao, and Kaphrao living and working peacefully in Hua Hin, and with Panee slowly getting better. Weeks pass as they are separate, and Fai visits the island where the villagers take care of the construction work. But they are lonely and keep thinking about each other. Weeks turn into months, and Panee realizes that Fai’s appetite has vanished. Akanee meets Panee at the beach to tell her that Fai has done everything that she wanted, and Kaphrao is no longer there. He asks her why is she still looking so depressed. She tells him that how she feels is none of his concern and claims it’s a lousy father like him who has always caused her trouble. He admits that in her eyes, he’s a terrible father, but claims that he became only a father when Fai was born, but all this time, she has never admitted it when she was wrong, and that’s what’s different between them: when he makes mistakes, he admits it, and tries to work on himself. But Panee has never tried to reflect on her own mistakes. She claims to have been a good aunt, having loved and cared for Fai like her own daughter. But Akanee reminds her that when her wife died, she asked her to look after Fai and make her happy. But does she think her love makes Fai happy or rather destroys her happiness? Panee observes Fai closely and realizes she is miserable, except when she texts and talks with Kaphrao on the phone. At the hospital Fai brings her new medication and claims she doesn’t need to come with her every time, but Fai doesn’t mind at all calling it payback for when she took her to see the doctor when she was little. She then realizes that the doctor has modified her medication, having removed two item from the list, and she is sure that Panee won’t need any meds soon. She will be as good as before and stay with her for a long time. But Panee thinks she is just a fussy old lady who complains about everything, and asks he if she still wants to stay with her for a long time. But Fai promises she will take care of her as best she can. They, Panee asks her to go to a floral shop with her… …and they bring flowers to her mothers place in her home. Panee claims that time does fly, and soon, she will follow her mother. Fai doesn’t want her to say that, claiming that she should try to think positive like the doctor said, but she claims that she was just stating the truth, one day, they all have to die, and those left behind have to keep on living. She has promised her mother to always take good care of her and make her happy, but instead, all she does is make her sad, she laments. Fai claims that she is happy being raised by Panee, but Panee teel her that she shouldn’t lie in front of her mother, as she asks her if she’s been happy lately, and she hugs her. Later she says goodbye to Akanee, and he wants to know where she going in the dark. Fai mentions that she going to Bangkok to discuss work for her and wants to stop to see Kaphrao on the way in Hua Hin, not having seen her for months, and she doesn’t want Panee to know. Akanee wants her to text her when she gets there. She drives fast to get quicker to Kaphrao, she tells her on the phone, whom she misses so bad. But on the way, she yawns and falls asleep for a moment, almost swerving off the road in the process. She doesn’t stop or slow down, though, and the next time she falls asleep, she crashes into a shop. Akanee calls Panee to tell her of the accident, and they rush to the hospital to find out what happened to Fai. The nurse tells them she is under the doctor’s care at the moment and will be all right. She hands Panee her belongings among them her phone, and she sees the photo of Fai and Kaphrao at the water park set as a background, just as Kaphrao texts her worried asking where she is. Panee claims that she’s sorry and collapses into Akanee’s arms. Fai wakes up with Panee and Akanee at her bedside, like in episode 6. Fai claims to be okay, but Panee is so sorry for trying her out and causing her to crash. Fai claims that it’s not her fault, but Panee vows that form now on, she isn’t going to stop her anymore, no matter whom she loves, she is not going to get in the way, as long as it makes her happy and doesn’t get her hurt. The next morning, Kaphrao rushes to her room, crying and falling into Fai’s arms. Kaphrao claims she is sorry, but Fai wants to know how she knows she is there, and Kaphrao claims that Panee called her… …and we get a flashback of Panee calling Kaphrao at night informing her that Fai had a car accident and is in the hospital. She is okay now, she claims, but she called her to let her know in case that her niece wanted to see her face. Panee comes in, and they separate. Panee told her, she claims, because it’s a serious matter that she should know about, and Kaphrao wants to leave now that Panee is there. But Panee tells her to stay and feed Fai, and she hands her breakfast. This results in the most awkward breakfast I’ve seen in ages, with Kaphrao eventually feeding Fai under supervision of Panee. Kaphrao wants to leave excusing herself for work, but Panee tells her to stay, knowing that the two of them are still together, and claiming the reason that Fai rushed out at night and got into as accident was because she wanted to see her, so she must be responsible . She must stay with Fai and look after her until she gets better, she argues. Panee leaves them dumbfounded. Kaphrao runs after Panee, and thanks her for letting her take care of Fai, and Panee claims she will try her best to accept her from now on, claiming that Kaphrao already beat her anyway as Fai chose her. But Kaphrao claims she never saw it that way and argues that Fai’s love for Kaphrao and Panee is just different. She can never take Panee’s place, and is well aware that if Fai has to choose, she will choose Panee. Panee wants to know if she really believes that, and Kaphrao confirms it and is glad, because the person that Fai loves the most finally approves of them being together. Panee claims she only did it because she wants to see Fai happy, and Kaphrao is the one who can make her happy. But Kaphrao claims that she can not make her happy entirely, and argues that the person who holds most of her love and happiness is actually Panee. Panee wants her to call her aunt, and Kaphrao thanks auntie as she leaves. Later, Fai and Kaphrao walk across a suspension bridge as Fai claims she know Kaphrao’s sweetness would eventually win over Panee’s heart like she won over hers. Kaphrao claims it’s actually because of Fai, as Panee loves her and wants to see her happy, but Fai claims it’s because Kaphrao is adorable and kisses her on the cheek. Kaphrao hits her and asks her who said she could do it, but Fai claims she did. Kaphrao claims that from now on, they no longer have to worry about Panee, but Fai still needs to clear things up with her father, claiming he gave them their blessing when she told him about them, but she did a lot of bad things to him back then, doing everything to stop him when he got a new lover. But now, she understands that you can’t help whom you love, and that he has the right to love whoever he wants. Having a new lover doesn’t mean he has betrayed her mother, forgotten about her or doesn’t love Fai anymore. Kaphrao proposes to apologize to Akanee… …and soon thereafter, they sit with Akanee and Wanna, and Fai drops to his knees as she takes his hand and wants to apologize to him for always misunderstanding him, she knows that he never was a womanizer and has never forgotten about mother or her. They all well up as Akanee claims to have never blamed her at all, arguing that it was his fault that he was so consumed by work that he hardly has time to take good care of her, and he has to apologize for it as well. Fai then proposes that they are even, and Akanee wants to take better care of her from now on, but Fai thinks that won’t be necessary now that she already has Kaphrao. And taking care of Akanee, she leaves to Wanna and apologizes to her as well for behaving badly and being rude. Wanna thinks she should apologize for stealing her father and promises to stay in her place, but Fai thinks her father is not getting any younger and should move back and forth between houses anymore, telling Wanna to move in with Akanee. They joke a bit about Akanee not being that old. 😊 Kaphrao and Fai watch the open-cast mine at sunset, with Fai claiming she got the 101 mining session for her there. Fai jokes that she had to give her a little welcome ceremony after 15 years, then more earnestly tells her that the day she disappeared, her world came tumbling down, with Kaphrao experiencing the same, claiming she cried every night after she moved to boarding school – but somehow, it made her stronger like how Fai once told her that she needed to stand on her own legs. Fai claims she had no clue and admits that she always prayed that one day when they would see each other again, Kaphrao wouldn’t hate her anymore. But when she finally showed up again, she just didn’t know what to do, so she kept irritating her, just like a kid would do to someone she has a crush on, because she wants to get their attention and wants them to know. Kaphrao tells her that now she had realized she was wrong, she must promise to never bully her again for the rest of her life. Fai brings up making her dance in front of her, and Kaphrao claims she is doing it again. But then, Fai pull out a ring and asks Kaphrao to marry her. and vows to shove her down the hill if she refuses. But Kaphrao doesn’t refuse and lets her put on the ring, promising they won’t let each other marry anyone else. They kiss in the sunset. We switch to the wedding preparation where Kaphrao is helped getting ready by Rose, Lada and (for the first time in this series) Blew, and Kaphrao is nervous as the wedding procession (Khan Maak) is about to begin and Fai will soon be at their house. She thanks the three of them for helping her, for show would have been too nervous to get anything done, but Blew claims they are a family now, and tells her to slowly breathe in and out. But Kaphrao doesn’t feel better at all. Fai, Lom (making her first appearance in the series), Nam and Din are waiting outside wearing T shirts below their jackets which are labeled ā€œPhi Jah loves Nong Phraoā€ as Akanee stand beside them with Panee, Wanna and Yod starting the wedding procession. At the house, Lada, Blew and Rose are dancing together Paen, Bua, and Nod, and the cousins join in, dancing goofily. At the house, Blew and Lada want rose to proclaim her love for Kaphrao loudly, and after the second proclamation, they let her through - but Nod and Bua stop her again, claiming she has treated Kaphrao horribly, and let her through only after she vows to spend the rest of her life caring for her and will always cherish her. At the ceremony, Akanee gives Kaphrao into Fai’s care. He tells Kaphrao that if they ever have a disagreement she should calm down and talk it through. He hopes that they won’t fight like when they were little anymore. Kaphrao thanks him, as the other couples just smile at each other. Then, Panee wishes them happiness – both of them, and apologizes to Kaphrao for treating her badly before. But now she claims that she’s letting it go and will be cheering and watching both of their love grow. Fai and Panee declare their love for each other, and Kaphrao claims she loves them, too. Then, they exchange the rings and ā€˜wai’ to each other, with Fai needing a little nudge from Nam. šŸ˜‰ They take a few photo and end the ceremony with a kiss by Fai on Kaphrao’s cheek. After the ceremony the four married cousins cheer each other, and Lom teases Fai that her little cousin is finally off the market, with Fai complaining that it sounds like no one would want to marry her, but Lom claims that she was just concerned, arguing that, with Fai being so foul-mouthed and hot-headed, It wouldn’t have surprised her if she stayed single for the rest of her life. But Nam believes that there definitely is someone who can take her as she is, and Fai claims that someone is Kaphrao. And Din claims that love isn’t something troublesome as Fai used to believe, with Nam adding that it isn’t nonsense either, but rather something that brings them joy, and Lom adding that it makes her want to become a better person for the one she loves. Fai claims that Din’s love is soft and gentle, Nam’s love is honest and sincere, and Nam’s love is warm and cozy. Fai thinks about what her love is, and Lom proposes ā€˜hot and fiery,’ with Din claiming that Lom just loves to tease her. Nam proposes ā€˜passionate but tender’ and Fai likes it much better, but Lom thinks ā€˜fiery’ fits better. Fai states that maybe she will keep Lom’s motto for the wedding night, and they drink to her first fiery night, with din asking whether she needs a coach for the night 😊, and Fai trying to talk herself into it. Fai and Kaphrao enter the bridal chamber, and Kaphrao thinks that Fai is exhausted, but Fai claims not yet, and argues that they still have to do ā€œthat thing,ā€ and she’s been looking forward to it all this time. There’s no way she’d miss out on her own wedding night. Kaphrao wants to know what she is talking about, and Fai states she means getting intimate like what married couples do. But Kaphrao doesn’t want to do it and eventually bites into her ear to stop Fai. She claims she going to shower, and Fai wants to shower with her, but Kaphrao threatens to bite off her other ear if she does it. Fai is disappointed but surrenders to Kaphrao. At night, they lie next to each other, but Kaphrao is apparently not happy that Fai is snoring. Kaphrao asks her if she’s asleep and Fai lies that yes, she is asleep. Kaphrao doesn’t believe it but Fai claims she talking in her sleep. Kaphrao touches Fai’s face, and Fai asks if she’s trying to torture her, because she is trying to restrain herself, for she didn’t want to get intimate with her. But Kaphrao claims that she was just shy because Fai blurted it out so suddenly. Fai turns around lightning-fast to face her as she admits that she is both shy and nervous – but she wants to try it. They talk a bit around the subject, then Fai wants to show Kaphrao how it’s done and Kaphrao claims she is not stopping her. This is the start of a six-minute love scene in which Fai and Kaphrao take turns at pleasing each other. The final scene of the series is with Fai and Kaphrao on the island looking at the sea and Fai presenting Kaphrao with a cake picturing a blue teddy bear, as Fai recounts that 15 years ago, she wanted to surprise her with a plushie, but it turned into a memory that tore them apart. Today, she wants to build a wonderful memory together with her. And she hands her the blue teddy bear, with Kaphrao being surprised that she kept it for this long. But Fai kept it for Kaphrao, she claims. Kaphrao thanks her and admits that the only person she could think of while she was stuck in the truck was Fai. Fai tells her she love her, and vows to keep telling it to her every day for the rest of her life. Kaphrao tells her she loves as well, and vows to say it until she gets sick of hearing it. But that will never happen, Fai claims for she will stay by her side and listen to it forever. They kiss each other again, and spend the night in each other’s arms. And that where ā€œThe Fireā€ and all of the four elements end. ___ This was 100 minutes of saying goodbye to Fai and Kaphrao - even longer as ā€œThe Waterā€ finale – but we still had a lot of plot to go through, as Panee’s fate had to be revealed before Fai and Kaphrao could happily live ever after. It was surprising for me when I read that Panee was depressed all along in the novel, but the show made it believable, and also let Fai deal with Akanee and Wanna while Kaphrao let Nod (who wasn’t in love with Kaphrao in the novel) down easily but decisively. It took almost an hour for Panee to realize that she is the one preventing Fai from being happy, but in the end she relented in her own way when Fai got into a car accident. The final half-hour consisted of Fai and Kaphrao’s wedding and first night together, and it’s sag that we got so little of Nam, Lada, Lom and Blew in the series, but the actresses have their own schedules separate of North Star, so I expected it beforehand. I found the finale to be a little on the long side, but I’m giving ā€œThe Fireā€ an 8.5/10 or a ā€œBā€ in U.S. letter grades, anyway, making ā€œThe Waterā€ the sole element which got a lower grade for messing a bit too much with the novel plot.

For me it’s: 1- Air 2- Earth 3- Water 4- Fire I have to give the number one spot to FB man, even though the pacing seemed off at times, they are the only ones that could make me eager for the next ep. Earth was good because it was the funniest but the plot didn’t grab me… I joined this amazing channel for TLP reactions and I’ll be stepping down now that 4E is over, I’ll keep supporting you from YT for now and I’ll rejoin Patreon asap 😭 take care guys 🄹

I can’t believe they’re actually doing a bonus episode next week! I’m so excited to see them all together again. I don’t know how they managed to keep that filming under wraps. I wonder if it’s going to be an extension of the overture they shot. I need more cousin banter! I liked this episode. I still liked Earth and Air best. It’s funny that Din was the craziest on her wedding night when she seemed the most inexperienced. I still can’t really see the romantic chemistry with Fire, but damn Fai tried to eat half her face with each of her kisses šŸ˜‚

I can’t believe it’s over. I totally agree with the lack of cousins in this series I can’t believe no one showed up when fai got into a car accident. This is my favorite list 1. Earth 2. Fire 3. Air 4. Water I loved all of the couples and they all have amazing chemistry I hope this isn’t the last time they work together. I badly need freen and namneung to play siblings again they were so good. The series had its ups and downs but I appreciate all the hard work that took to make it. It was still enjoyable to watch. Thanks meesh and Dee for committing to watching all 4 series!

First let me also give a HUGE shout out to M&D for their unwavering commitment to watching this entire series šŸ™šŸ¾. It has been a ride filled with every kind of emotion. Viewers have expressed their likes and dislikes as it relates to the individual story, the character, the setting, the music, the fits, the… We all know what we like and don’t like when watching actors act, directors direct or writers write. I so enjoy reading the reviews offered by so many. Even through that avenue there are some responses I really like, some that make me pause and wonder ā€œreallyā€ , and some that make me laugh. This whole series was a first. And like many firsts, I like to give some space for the next mega series to improve where they can ā€˜up the game’ and draw even more attention. I’m just happy that people are keen to watch gl. Now to my ranking— 1) Earth (how can you not fall in love with Din and Rose) Apple and Mim are just too precious. The series was packed with all things new . The introductions of the cousins was priceless. It simply set us up for watching the character arcs of each cousin. šŸ˜Ž 2) Air ( because F/B could read the dictionary and I’d think it was pure gold) 🄰 3) Fire ( I liked NN/N connection and the idea that the ā€œenemy ā€œ if you will was in the misunderstandings and how powerful they can be when it plays out in family dynamics. 🄓 4) Water ( I like Englot but just found the series a little stiff). I do have to say Charlotte can run šŸƒšŸ½ā€ā™€ļø like the wind when the Director says ā€˜Action’ šŸ˜‚ Looking forward to what’s next.

I loved the 4 Elements project as a whole. If I had to rank my favorites it would be: 1. Fire & Earth - I can't choose between them. I think FaiKaphrao had my favorite dynamic and character development, and they're probably my favorite couple of the 4 because I find them so fun together. I do wish that we had more cousin moments, especially Lom and Fai moments, and less aunt moments, but it is what it is. I thought the gradual change in Fai's demeanor over the course of the series as she went from a bully to realizing and accepting her love for Phrao was really well done and did not feel forced to me at all. I also love that Phrao loves and accepts Fai as she is and was never scared to stand up to her. To me, they make perfect sense as a couple lol. Fai brings out the fire in Phrao and Phrao brings out the softness in Fai. As for Earth, it made me feel warm and fuzzy from beginning to end and I just adored DinRose. Din is probably my favorite lesbian disaster after Ongsa lol, and Rose in episode 5 was just too much of an icon. I will never forget her lol. Also, The Earth had the best cousin moments of any of the other series. 2. The Water - Personally, I think this one was the best written and paced, although it had some moments that felt a little off in the last 3 episodes. But overall, I loved it and I absolutely loved Lada's character arc. 3. The Air - I liked parts of it but it wasn't my favorite. I like FreenBecky and I loved Lom, but it was just okay to me. I still thought it was good, though. It definitely had my favorite finale of the 4 shows. That finale was so well done and I have 0 complaints about it. The show also had a lot of amazing cousin moments, especially with Lom and Fai.

S723 Ā· August 30, 2026

I think the Water and Earth finales were my favorite because they actually got to focus on the love story within like 15-20 minutes of the show starting. Air it took more than 1/2 the episode for them to get together. And Fire took nearly an hour until the Aunt stuff was resolved. After the Aunt went to the hospital and got the help she needed they could've jumped forward a bit and got to the love story stuff, but waiting until more than 1/2 the episode was over was a dissapointment. I am glad they addressed the Aunt having mental health issues, the Dad being distant and even the car accident. But not letting us see more of the cousins one more time, or more than 30 seconds of the sister-in-laws, and not seeing a bit more of Phrao and Fai together was unfortunate. This finale had a higher expectation than almost all the others because not only did it have to wrap up their own show but put a bow on the other series' as well. I don't think they accomplished that...I probably enjoyed Episode 7 more than this finale. But still a really nice show and still sad to see it all be over.

Was waiting for your reactions to drop!! This mega series really did something special bringing 2 "less famous" couples onscreen and throwing them into lead roles paired with 2 "seasoned" GL couples and somehow getting them all to fit their characters perfectly and have the best relationship dynamics. Fire for me had the best couple and story but was followed closely by Earth. Water and Air really didn't do it for me and I'd say have the least rewatch value but was still fun watching to the overall cousins dynamic.

B
Bee Ā· August 30, 2026

I appreciate MD handling the aunt's depression delicately. They are the best. But I won't be that caring (not for the depression issue of course but) for the aunt's back story. I expected a Harry Potter/Severus Snape type of motivation for her actions which would make sense to me. But, since her main worry is losing Fai to someone else, why did she try to set her up to blind dates with her friend's daughters? How did the writing miss this? Overall... Great acting, good pair, insane cinematics... But that's it for me. Considering all moving parts and scandals, kudos to Tik for pulling this off.

S
S723 Ā· August 30, 2026

4 Elements did what Girls Rule didn't. They actually addressed a mental health illness. I think there are many GLs that have characters that need help but they throw it under the rug. At least the Aunt got the help she needed, albeit about 20 years late. -I think the Aunt put Fai on a blind date with someone she knew wasn't a threat to her. Phrao was a threat to her being able to control Fai and stay with her forever. The blind date that she put her on was a family friend, so if somhow Fai and her actually got together the Aunt would still be able to control that relationship.

Respectfully, IMHO… The Watinwanich houses and the wives… Let me use quote from Dee… Useless Lesbians!!!

The whole journey of 32 episodes was a longer version of 23,5 where the characters are in post-uni, mid-career phase, 30 somethings instead of high school pupils. It feels quite unreal to me that all 8 characters are not only virgins at that age but also never truly came close to having dates (except Lom, who is also a disappointment to me), let alone falling in love. Every story begins, the friction is obvious, love story develops with several cute scenes, blah blah blah, friction explodes and then resolves, then happy ending: marriage. Oh, since the audience wants it, let’s add some wedding night intimacy. That’s the whole formula. I am disappointed. I know Salmon is working on another mega novel but I am definitely gonna pass it if it gets made for TV. IMHO, love has major elements of passion, jealousy, ā€˜I gotta kiss you now or I’ll die’ moments… None of them existed in any of the stories. Maybe just hints... They remained inside high school boundaries but… With all due respect, I was a burning fire in high school. Not fifty shades of gray but I remember going nuts when I could not talk to, kiss my crush.

I really enjoyed this ending it was nice to see an issue resolve properly. It wasn't rushed in my opinion. Yes it was long but it needed to be. I'm an Englot fan and have been following them from the very beginning since grand days. The first GL I watched was Gap and loved that. The elements where a big part of my life this year especially during the time I was deployed. I wish I could have watched, the water and the earth on a bigger screen and not just on my phone lol. My ranking is FIRE, EARTH, WATER, AIR.

Great reaction series, Meesh & Dee! I've enjoyed our journey together. I'm impressed by the general quality of the mega-series, but this is my least favorite segment. I might be the outlier here, but I got a little uncomfortable with the wedding night scene in this episode. I didn't feel the mutual hunger like i always do with, say, FreenBecky. It's probably just my own thing. I also didn't feel the drama here, with the bullying early and Aunt Panee villaining it up. I still enjoyed the last half. I posted my list in a recent GL-yap comment along with some commentary, but here's the list: 1) The Earth 2) The Air 3) The Water 4) The Fire

All of us are waiting for that LomFai moments 🄹 it's so sad that because of the IDF fiasco, Freenbecky didn't get to filmed The Fire. There should really be a lot of LomBlew's scene which they gave to the other cousins. But o well, I'm still satisfied with the overall project. Gonna miss the bondings of all 4 couples 🄹 Love seeing your reactions! See you on the next FreenBecky series (Cranium šŸ¤ž) or maybe Freen (The Witch of Siam) /Becky solo series. Lovelots šŸ’•

The pre-wedding parade is called a Khan Maak procession. It's basically a lot of drums and music and the groom bribing their way through the bride's family to get to the bride. There was a more tame version of this in The Loyal Pin. And another good Khan Maak scene in Somewhere Somehow.

First of all, I would really like to thank you both for your commitment to the entire series. As you said it's not easy but I thoroughly enjoyed these reactions and watching them was a part of my Sunday the entire year! In terms of ranking, I'm a biased FreenBecky fan and hence, whatever they do will always be #1 for me, so my ranking is as follows - 1. The Air 2. The Earth 3. The Water 4. The Fire In terms of the show, I'd say that the concept was great but the series as a whole lacks certain things because the source material (the novel) is not that strong in my opinion. They definitely could have done better with the pacing and some parts of the script but overall, I enjoyed the show and the cousin dynamics the most. I agree that Lom should be present way more in The Fire and the cousin involvement was really negligible here. In the book, LomBlew appear more but in the show, they had different circumstances. It's not only about the schedules but when they were shooting The Fire, FreenBecky were going through a transition from their older company to their new ones. The contract was still stuck with IDF and Becky couldn't shoot legally for many months. This is why eventhough, they started shooting The Air first out of all 4, it was still the last one to finish shooting this year in Feb when The Earth had already started airing. But sadly these things can't be controlled and I would always cherish this entire show because it gave us something different and we never thought we would ever see Englot and FreenBecky in a show together!! Also, your comment section has definitely been invaded by some anti FB fans (we're used to it) but it still makes me sad that it's always just FB bashing going on in the comment section without any reason. I respect everyone's opinion but if it's the same negative behaviour then it comes across as a pattern so it's not fun anymore checking out the comments like it was when you guys were reacting to The Loyal Pin. Just saying this because I would be avoiding the comment section but would be supporting your reactions silently. Thanks <3

S723 Ā· August 30, 2026

About to watch the reaction. But wanted to thank M&D for reacting to all the Elements. I can't believe it's been since end of January. I know there are a bunch of GLs coming out in September and October, but none will be like this, being able to follow this family and characters. Even though we didn't always seen Rose/Din, Nam/Lada and Lom/Blew we can imagine them living their lives because the other characters were still existing. So now that it's over it really puts a finality to all of the Elements. -I did a nerdy ass thing and created 10 categories to determine which Element was my favorite one. I had a feeling I knew but kinda wanted to see how it shook out. It ended up that my favorite Elements were 1. Earth 2. Water 3 .Fire 4. Air. 1.Earth being number 1 wasn't a shock. It ticked so many boxes that we just hadn't seen before. I think it being first with relative unknowns allowed us all to ease into the project. Then we get the shock that their chemistry was great, the introduction to the cousins was perfect and the first time that they were together after their wedding still is one of the best love scenes I have seen on a GL, just so passionate. Plus Rose is my favorite character. She was gold in every series that she appeared. I could rewatch Earth any day of the week. 2. Water, I think despite there being 2 episodes (6/7) that were kind of clunky/long/repetitive, the show itself featured just one of the best developed characters in Lada. Charlotte created such a great character in Lada and Nam's crumble from workholic to whipped for her wife was perfect. I also loved the finale. I loved seeing them after the wedding and what their life was like. That was different from all the others. If this was the last Englot series we will see I think they went out on a high note. 3. Fire. By far the best pacing of all the Elements. I think the dialouge between Phrao and Fai was on point all the way throughout. I loved the lore, including all the scenes with the little Fai and Phrao. I loved their first kiss and reveal of Phi Jai. Only reason it slipped to 3 is because the finale was just alright, there was just too much Aunt in the finale and throughout. I wish some of that had gotten wrapped up in Episode 7 so they could focus on their relationship in the finale. But the last 30-45 minutes was great. The love scene was better than expected. Plus loved seeing Fai grow up in all 4 of the series. It was cool to watch her journey throughout. 4. Air. If Air was on its own and was just a GL it would be fine. It had a lot of nice moments between FreenBecky. But it just developed really slowly and we only got to see them in a relationship for about 20 minutes. In those 20 minutes that love scene was pretty perfect, the proposal was lovely and the 2 weddings were beautiful and very FreenBecky. But it was dissapointing not to see more of their love be showcased throughout. There were a lot of nice moments, but not enough to overtake the other elements. *Sorry for the long post, just gonna miss looking forward to this show every Saturday. And recap from M&D every Sunday.

For me the writing of the whole mega series was very outdated, some episodes felt unnecessary long i had to skip many scenes and like you said 8 months is a big commitment I’d prefer having one serie type girl rules with better writing and budget with shorter time it would keep people hyped and interested.

And they also say that the scene where they’re having a drink together as & DIN makes the comment about love coach that was off the cuff and was kept in. It wasn’t planned.
