Just finished watching TLP drop and was pleasantly surprised for this early drop! I really enjoyed watching this series along with you. I totally understand what you were saying about BL vs GL content. Being a lesbian I am too drawn to GL content, for all the obvious reasons. But this was a really nice love story, and love is love. Plus, I think it's important to support representation in the queer community in general. And this representation for male queer athletes is different than a lot of other content and really nice to see.

So to answer your question, yes, a second season is confirmed. Jacob started writing it right after the holidays, it’s expected to shoot this summer, and it should air in spring 2027. There will also most likely be a special episode at the end of this year, centered around the final chapter of Heated Rivalry. That part isn’t officially confirmed yet, but that’s the current speculation. Heated Rivalry is the second book in the Game Changer series. There are six books so far, with a seventh coming. Book one focuses on Scott and Kip. Book two focuses on Ilya and Shane. Ilya and Shane return in book six, and book seven will also be centered on them. Ilya in particular is a recurring character throughout the entire series. What happens at the end of episode five in book one really opens up the wider series, setting off multiple character arcs involving different players coming out or accepting their sexuality, largely influenced by what Scott Hunter did. They met at the end of 2008 and first hook up (at the hotel after the shower scene) was year and half later. So from that to the cottage, it's been around 7 years. Also, a little fun fact. They had to shoot the ending credits scene twice because the first time, both Hudson (Shane) and Connor (Ilya) were sobbing. In the second take they did (and used), you can see Connor crying and Hudson is trying to make him laugh. The fact they are besties in real life is everything to me and I hope the industry won't ruin what they got going for themselves. Second season will come out at the start of 2027!

No explicit scenes and very serious issues tackled tastefully and with a feel good taste after every storm! It also has lesbians, bisexuals, asexuals, trans and non-binary people, it’s generally one of the most inclusive shows I’ve ever seen… but it’s so wholesome, you are going to love it ❤️
