I watched AOT sooo many times. And in every watch I am learning and noticing new things. And of course my opinion on certain things and characters is changing too. I think that's the whole point of the show. I can say that my first watch wasn't so careful and thoughtful as yours. You are doing so good. I am glad that people like you exist. I remember that as a teenager, I was also part of those dumb old memes about "Chinga a tu madre Gabi" or "Muerete Gabi" and got carried away by the revenge and the epicness of war… But now, as an adult, my perspective has changed, and I can see the bigger picture. About the plan, it kinda makes sense, I understand this is the only plan they could come up with as a permanent solution to titans, (I obviously couldn’t think of a better idea unless we get a genie here🧞‍♂️) but also so sad to think of our crew being the last old population that I couldn’t help but think there has to be a better way cause its just so messed up… then my brain hurts thinking of another solution. —I’m so glad you watched the ending this is my fave! I highly recommend watching it with subtitles once you’re done with the show too

I paused the reaction to type this around the 6 minute mark.I wont say much more than what the others here in the comments are saying. Doing reactions on youtube brings out some strange folk. Im not sure if its a parasocial/ keyboard anonymity thing or just passion.... or maybe both? Ive seen some of these same people jump from channel to channel to watch newer reactors react to this show again and again. How do i know? I recognize some names sometimes because ive done it myself but have always remained respectful and have always valued different takes on this awesome author or manga writers style. There will be mean and messed up comments, ive seen it many many times but hopefully the good beans and the show itself can make it all worth it in the end.

Just posting to comment on your intro a bit - unfortunately there are some anime fans who just take things to the extreme for whatever series they really love. AoT as an anime overall is a very divisive anime for some based on some of the plot / characters. I felt one way about certain characters and the story after my first watch through and now I've shifted my opinion to feel completely differently about those same characters and plot points lol You guys have done a great job analyzing and guessing and just keep doing what you're doing. People are always going to be mad if you disagree with their point of view. Nothing you can do about it but just be true to your own opinions. Many of the same people who will be mad about something are the same people who rewatched / read / looked on reddit etc. to figure more things out. Edit: Also - please don't let these comments, etc. deter you away from watching either other seasons of upcoming animes like JJK or other animes that might have rabid fanbases that you might be interested in. The animation/art/stories are still amazing and you guys deserve to watch what you want.

Props for addressing the weirdo comments in the beginning! I noticed some of them popping up since JJK and was confused. They're so obviously commenting with the full knowledge of the show, which is completely unfair from the perspective of first time watchers. Shows intend to reveal details at specific times and they'll always be relevant later, getting upset at people missing stuff on a first watch is whack. Your guys' analysis is awesome and yall have caught a TON of stuff I did not in my first watches, so I'd get absolutely cooked in the comments if I did react stuff LOL. I'd be unable to not let the comments bother me, so I feel ya, not reading comments to avoid negativity and spoilers is 100% the right thing to do at this point. Especially as we approach the end of AOT. You deserve to enjoy the rest of this amazing journey negativity-free, enjoy the rest of the ride, yall are great. Do you have mods on YouTube? Not that I'm volunteering, but reading the comments on JJK especially baffled me, I would drop the show in a heartbeat if I got comments like that. Feels like all online discourse has shifted a lot in the last decade, I am not used to this hostility in reactor space at all, it's messed up, people need to learn some manners. I was watching another react channel do AoT and they had some controversial opinions hating beloved characters in the early episodes, and while the comments did argue with them, it was mostly in good faith (trying to reason, you haven't seen the character development yet, etc.), assuming all the direct attacks were deleted, gotta curate that or it will just keep growing.
