“The president of the Republic asked me a direct question.” Raiko specifically asked if Mako knew if Korra was planning anything that would jeopardize the safety of Republic City, and she wasn’t. Last time I checked a city doesn’t need military presence 24/7. In fact Iroh’s troops weren’t present in Republic City until Tenzin called for them when Amon was taking over. So Mako didn’t actually go against orders when he initially told Raiko, “No.”
Pro tip: While I can’t speak to lemur training, some of Tenzin’s training doesn’t actually matter for dogs. Like, you can let them sleep in your bed if you want, as long as they don’t become territorial about it. The whole alpha theory was debunked a long time ago, as it was based on the behavior of wolves being kept in captivity, not wild wolves or domestic dogs. The researcher who came up with the theory is the one who debunked it by later observing wild wolves and realizing their packs are exclusively made up of parents and their grown offspring. So the “alpha” wolf is actually just the mom and dad.

The only reason I’m looking forward to this is to see you guys roast Mako. And the only reason I’m looking forward to the next episode is because it means we’re almost at 7 & 8! 5 & 6 of this season are the lowest point of either Avatar series imo, and reaction videos are definitely the best way to watch them. It’s wild that they’re then followed up by two of the highest episodes from either show.
Episodes 5 and 6 are weak—I didn't even remember watching them! LOL, that's funny that you say reaction videos are a good way to watch them 😂 like a little recap. The next episodes get better! -M
