🎉 MindWare Version 0.3.8 (Supporters Beta 2)

Hey everyone!

This beta update continues 0.3.8 with the next beat of the Aegis storyline, a handful of fixes for reported progression and navigation problems, and some final polish before I move on to the next batch of Chapter 2 content.

If you have completed the second Aegis brain scan, the results message arrives 10 in-game days later. Saves that completed the scan before this timer was added receive a roughly one-day grace period when the save is first loaded.

If you would rather skip the wait, make a backup save first, open the browser console while your save is loaded, and run this debug shortcut. It applies the same results-message trigger immediately:

Then open Elara’s new message and return to the Aegis hideout. This shortcut changes the current save and is intended for players who have already completed the second scan.

I also fixed a couple of nasty state problems. Cipher’s urgent job chat could remain marked as new after the job was complete and block sleep, while closing an app during city navigation could send you home instead of returning you to the place where you started. Xavier’s exploit download now commits the related Drake hack task and conversation state together, so the two systems cannot drift apart if you leave at the wrong moment.

What’s Next:

In the next update, I want to return to the research material folder on the Aegis computer introduced in this build and add a bonus scene for players with high Sexuality values. I also want to add a Cipher chat and an AVA dream connected to what is happening with Aegis. Beyond that, I’ll continue expanding other storylines (especially Trix’s), and I’m eager to work on Ray’s optional transformation as well. The new supporter downloads page should also make it much easier to keep the early-access builds, HTML-only updates, checksums, and older releases in one reliable place.
