Castle of Vice – Development Diary #6 (Bugs Fixed for Alpha 0.4)

Hello everyone!

This is a small developer diary whose purpose is to notify you about bugs in Alpha 0.3 that will be resolved with Friday’s update (Alpha 0.4). Another developer diary will be posted on Friday to talk about other content that has been added, but for now, I just want to let everyone know about these issues and that they have been addressed.

Major Bugs (Result in the game crashing or becoming unplayable)

• Fixed: In Iron Mode, if you die, go to the safe room, then load the game. Annelise's data will be set after she died but before reviving her, meaning any combat moving forward will consider her dead and provide no energy for her or the enemies.

• Fixed: If you load a game in which Annelise has at least one Ice Magic skill, the game would stay stuck in the load transition (black screen).

• Fixed: The game will freeze if you load or move to the title screen during the walking transition after choosing an exploration path.

• Fixed: Using the skill Cleanse when there are no debuffs to remove will result in the game freezing.

• Fixed: In combat, if you are using the tooltip to look at the details of one of your skills and move to another category where there is no skill in the slot the tooltip is currently activated, exiting the skill slot will result in the game becoming unresponsive.

• Fixed: If you go to the title screen in the middle of a conversation and then load a game and enter combat, the enemies' UI will be unresponsive, and no energy will be gained for Annelise and the enemies.

• Fixed: After choosing a combat path, if you open another window – Status, Backlog, Options – the combat UI for Annelise’s skills and energy will freeze and stay unresponsive.

Minor Bugs

• Fixed: After loading a game and playing for a while, the backlog will not be cleared after loading another game.

• Fixed: In the Knowledge Transmutation window, if you click the plus button on an upgrade and then the minus button, this will activate all the plus buttons of already maxed-out upgrades.
