Saudi Arabia's Petroline Was Just Attacked || Bonus Video for All

Saudi Arabia's Petroline was just struck and has been shut down. This pipeline carries oil from eastern fields out to the Red Sea and is one of the main ways to bypass the Strait of Hormuz. Regardless of who claims responsibility, Iran has made it clear that no oil will leave the region unless they allow it.

You say you hope Trump “doesn’t fall for this.” So what is your answer?

It's ironic that Saudi Arabia was attacked on the 25th anniversary or 9/11.

Just this morning I watched a news report where Trump was blaming the high cost of diesel on Ukraine, telling Ukraine that they should stop attacking Russian oil infrastructure. Not one day after the useless efforts of kushner & witkoff and we get this. Just can't make this stuff up. 😠

And yet, on the very same day, the EIA published their forecast of increased world stock builds with “softened” demand that will predictably decrease the current crude price from $90 to $74 by 2027. WTF is going on here?

Manipulation of the oil market by those in power, I'm afraid.

As as 71 year old guy who knew people who died in Vietnam, please remember if you can't run a tank through it you can't win a ground war. Jungles are a bad place for tanks and mountains are even worse. That is why Iraq worked, Vietnam did not and Iran won't. If DT knew how to ask questions he would know that it is not doable. Reagan new it, most presidents have considered it. For a bonus... remember Reagan's mini Iran war in april of 1988. Hey... didnt DT promis us no wars????

Pipelines are an easy repair, pumping stations are harder. Point is this will be solved in hours not days. It feels like Peter has turned into a full time Trump shit poster. Can you focus on areas where you have actual expertise like demographics?

You say "unless there is a political settlement with Iran" there can no expectation of oil flowing again. Well, one thing that I think you are ignoring that seem relevant and obvious is that there can be no settlement with the Iranians because they will not keep to any settlement. Whether that's because they are just liars or because no one is really in charge doesn't matter, it just appears clearly to be the case. Therefore my guess is that unless the regime is eliminated (whether by us or by the Iranian people or the Israelis or whomever), this situation is likely to remain as it is, and oil flow will be affected to the extent the Iranians can cause havoc. But I am confident, that regardless of headlines to the contrary, there will be no real settlement.

I’m curious to see how much profit Trump has made in US oil stocks. Buy low, take over Venezuelan oil, start a war in Iran, sell high.

judging how corrupt and impotent US "justice" is against own politicians, we'll never find out

Peter, why don't the major players in the region, coupled with a group European countries and the U.S. deal with the Iranian problem once and for all. Over the years many would say Iran's actions would seem to justify such coordinated actions. One would think that Iran is such an outlier in the civilized world that removing the hornets nest would be better than just hitting it with a stick every once in while.

G

Maybe. Or maybe we suddenly have a NATIONAL EMERGENCY! and elections are cancelled. Or maybe the voting machines miraculously tabulate a landslide victory for DT. Or maybe (insert plausible scenario here). It doesn't seem likely that DT will "allow" the republicans to lose control of Congress unless he plans to fly his new Air Force One to Moscow for his retirement plan. Of course it's the project 2025 folks calling the shots and they might be ready to take their chances with JD at this point. DT is on his way out physically, mentally and politically. He could experience an "aortic dissection" just like Lindsay Graham did after visiting Ukraine...

2 questions: 1) what if it’s in US’s best interest that oil doesn’t flow from this region. After Russia, this was the largest competition for US oil and source of China’s imports. So, what if a prolonged conflict and zero Hormuz oil is part of the plan? 2) what about the so called Islamic nato security deal, does it get triggered now? Or that alliance is dead on its first actual test?

C
Christopher Duncan · September 12, 2026

It’s not a master plan. Less global supply means higher prices for US consumers and inflation. U.S. companies sell their oil to the highest bidder, they have no reason to sell to US consumers for a lower than market price. If there is a grand plan, it’s a scheme by Trump to manipulate the market and enrich himself at the expense of the U.S. He can buy US oil stocks, start a war in Iran, limited supply means oil prices shoot up, US oil companies with stable supply make super high profits, their stock goes up, and Trump makes a fortune. Why does he care about the U.S. economy and inflation? He knows this is his last term as president. He’s doing everything in his power to use his office to enrich himself. A narcissist with paychopathic tendencies. So yea, if there’s a grand scheme, that’s it.

Could Iran sink a couple of ships mid transit in the Suez Canal? Seems within range. Even if they miss, no one would want to put any more ships in there. They'd be like those ducks at the carnival shooting gallery. $6\gal gas by midterms. Tired of all the winning yet?
