Great episode about Bushman of the Shuswap w/ seque to Bre-X debacle. Thank You. This is close to my region of habitation. Can also recommend a movie starring the excellent character actor Mr Matthew McConaughey, about Bre-X called GOLD, which might have added a few frills for dramatic value but it's still very good and seems fairly accurate ~ in other words, you get the picture.
Grew up in Calgary. Lol between these guys and enron probably why I never inherited anything from my granddad
Wow. I'd never heard of this story and when I got to all the salting my jaw dropped and stayed there.
Re Bre-X, worth finding a movie called GOLD which is based on the Bre-X story. Matthew McConaughey is great in it.
Interesting to hear a story from the north for a change! Love the tie-in between stories, and great music as always deformr.
FYI: Sicamous is pronounced "sickamoose"
Great Ep.
Boom 💥 another great one! Ty ACC
Thanks, ACC. I guess they forgot how people profit from gold rushes. Interesting how one of the end messages is from Calgary...🤭
Eeeeee! One from my hometown!!!!
Bre-X! I remember this one. Amazing episode.
this & defunctland on the same day + a day off and plenty of craft supplies... thanks ACC
Wow! One of the best episodes yet!
I lived in Calgary at the time this all went down. Thank you for sharing this story. There's so much I had no idea about.
Babe, wake up. The new Swindled just dropped 🎉
Funny how white guys rarely go to prison for harming countless others with white collar lies and crimes.
It’s generally other white men who decide who to send to prison sadly.
When a new 'Swindled' episode drops, the day suddenly has renewed meaning 🙌😀
