oh boy, this is going to be long. I'm a rheumatology patient. not a physician, but I have some medical knowledge. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis (sort of like a mixture of RA and psroriatic arthritis without the bulbous joints and skin patches). anyway, I've taken nearly half the medications listed in this podcast, save methotrexate (a chemotherapy drug). humira, cimzia, and enbrel are all immunosuppressant biologic drugs. they make you more susceptible to infection while taking them. in fact, they received an FDA black box warning for this reason. you can get cancer from these injections (has something to do with their action - idk I'm not a pharmacist), and taking multiple only increases that risk. AFAIK, there is no benefit to taking more than one of these medications at once. could be he was popping them full of methotrexate (whose therapeutic dose for RA should not make you go bald, but this isn't always the case) to stave off any cancer. a second thing is fibromyalgia is a diagnosis of exclusion. it should be the very last thing a rheum considers/diagnoses you with, not the very first. this is because while it has a defined criteria and symptoms, but there is no definitive test to prove a person has fibromyalgia. all other possible diagnoses must be ruled out. for this reason, I find it very odd that multiple people seeing this doctor had both RA and fibro. one other note on the immunosuppressant drugs. these drugs work. if you have an autoimmune disorder it's worth it to take them. I can't function without mine. they are too damn expensive, but they work. I'm trying to shame a bad doctor, not scare people in pain.

How sad for all of his victims.

Doctor should be forced to undergo the treatments he gave his patients. There’s no true justice in the US, only for the poor.

Only for the rich, you mean?

Absolute atrocities of this evil man. He should still be in prison. The pittance of repayment under $30mill when he stole over $300 mill. Why? “Doc” keeps getting rewarded for destroying lives. He and his skank wife should have lost everything and waiting in line daily at the soup kitchen! Great job as usual ACC!

I've read a few articles about this piece of shit...I'm excited and interested in the ACC-level of research and delivery on this fucking horror show.

Seriously if this is the scale of dishonesty needed before the Feds swing into action no wonder you get frauds like this. The human cost here is horrific. So many lives ruined.

If he had tortured children horror movie style he'd be put away forever but since he does it medically, he gets a couple years. Bullshit legal system.

There is something seriously wrong with the infrastructure of our nation that allows rampant healthcare fraud with minimal consequences to the perpetrators. The “doctor” intentionally misdiagnosed a young boy with lupus rather than leukemia! Shouldn’t there be jail time for that alone?? The system is broken. Revolution is needed.

Totally agree-Especially since leukemia shows up on the most basic of blood tests!!

This “doctor” was probably motivated by power as much as (if not more than) money. And his wife should’ve sat there and ate her food, in the words of Tiffany “New York” Pollard.

I simply amazing how I'm all of these they do the victims worse than the offender in the outcome of these things. They used them to convict the person rightfully so but then they send them away empty further use n then have the audacity to say we got justice for the people it's just sad everybody gets paid except the true victims

Disgusting man. I hope something horrible happens to him. I hope his license have been revoked and that he isn't allowed to practice. EVER
