The NE compounding episode fucked me up too
I wish that I had a time machine so that I could go back and punch Stockton Rush in the gut. And the kidney. And the face. And then again in the gut. Also YES to an Elizabeth Holmes episode. Some of us didn't follow it that closely, and would really prefer your telling of it to any other.
This is the most heartbreaking episode I've heard you do because of the sheer waste of talent, and by such an evil waste of space. Great investigative journalists are worth their weight in gold. RIP Jeff German of Las Vegas. So courageous. An inspiration.
This was on an episode of 48 hours. Crazy story.
Thank you for this ep, I'm left in chills. Very damn timely.
Love the ending. We appreciate you!
I knew Jeff. He was an amazing investigative journalist who excelled at uncovering government corruption. Sadly that is what got him killed. It was a huge loss for our state.
Oh ACC, this episode makes me really worry about you! You, like German, have dedicated yourself to exposing the dark and disgusting underbelly of greedy corporations and corrupt politicians. Sometimes this can come at the cost of the life of the truth-teller, as we saw with German. I worry about that for you — our favorite truth teller! You are right to keep your identity under wraps but please be careful and be sure to keep that Simply Safe active!
You are a true artist, ACC. Thanks for this episode. 💔
Honestly one of your best episodes.
The statement at the end of this episode was a really great way to honor Jeff in the wake of his assassination. Just want to mention the Committee to Protect Journalists, which is a nonprofit that defends the right of journalists to report without fear of retribution! If anyone feels compelled after listening, a donation in his honor is a great way to help.
This one really hurt my heart. Seems like such a metaphor for the future of journalism and free speech.
A toxic, idiotic, lying, cheating, dangerous, petty, fragile, sexually predatory, corrupt, narcissistic politician who claims he’s the victim of his evil enemies and that everyone actually loves him? Nope. Doesn’t remind me of anyone else…
If Telles had inherited millions of dollars from his dad and managed to get himself a popular reality show, he could be president now! But I’m sure I have no idea who you’re talking about! 😉
Vile man - so many chances missed to stop him. Great episode.
Heading to Vegas tonight, what a perfect story to listen to as I pack
it always boggles my mind when people go to plan a murder and their first step is to hop onto google and search "how to illegally kill someone with a weapon in order to commit murder, which I am aware is bad"
Living in Vegas it was WILD watching this unfold in real time.
Damn.
Yeeeees! Thank you, I need something with substance to get through my work day.
god i’m obsessed with this case. ty for giving the full background of jeff and of the office culture - all i’ve followed is court footage and it doesn’t do the full story justice
if you want entertainment, watch the cross examination footage. if you need help sleeping, watch the direct 🤌🏼🤌🏼
Nothing like a brand new swindle drop to listen to over breakfast.
No feeling like a midweek Swindled drop xx
ON A WEDNESDAY! You spoil us!
