intimate lap kiss
this mod adds a new romantic interaction: "intimate lap kiss".
it becomes available when two sims are sitting close to each other.
base game compatible
requires the xml injector
by default, the animation depends on the actor's gender:
- if the actor is a female sim, she will sit on the other sim's lap.
- if the actor is a male sim, he will pull the other sim onto his lap.
if you want to change this, use my other mod.
it works similarly to the in-game "make out" interaction and has comparable outcomes.
the interaction is available when sims are sitting close to each other on:
- sofas;
- benches;
- ottomans;
- double and single beds, except murphy beds;
- pool edges.
you can find it in the 'romance' category -> 'physical intimacy'.
sims must have already had their first kiss.
the interaction lasts around 25–30 in-game minutes.
there is a 40% chance that both sims will receive the following buff:
the chance is higher if your sims have the steamy romance dynamic, or if they find each other attractive or very attractive (ep 'lovestruck').

it works exactly the same way for same-gender couples as it does for opposite-gender couples: - if the sim who starts the interaction is female, she will sit on the other sim’s lap - if the sim who starts the interaction is male, he will pull the other sim onto his lap
Unfortunately the mod isn't showing for my Sims one of them is pregnant is this why

What happens if the two sims are the same gender? Do you have to have your other mod, and assign one of them to the opposite gender animation, for the action to work?

yes, it should work! if the interaction still doesn’t show up: 1. make sure you have xml injector in your mods folder 2. make sure you’re looking in the right place for the interaction. sims should sit near each other, and then “intimate lap kiss” should appear under “physical intimacy"

Probably no one will answer but does anybody that uses height sliders have a problem with their sims not aligning when using this mod? It works per se on my straight couples and same sex couples but their faces do not touch and they all kiss air, and I tried with townies that are default height and they work normally only my sims don't. Is there anything I can do other than stopping using height slider for them to align?
unfortunately, i don’t think there’s a way to make the kiss look good with height sliders. i made the animation specifically for the default sims rig, and even then it doesn’t look perfect with every sim, but i tried my best))

if its a same sex couple is it randomised who sits in who's lap?
it’s not randomized, it depends on the gender of the sim who starts the interaction: - if the actor is a female sim, she will sit on the other sim’s lap. - if the actor is a male sim, he will pull the other sim onto his lap. if you want a specific sim to always use the feminine animation, you can use my addon (https://www.patreon.com/posts/choose-animation-130632995). with it, you can assign the “feminine animation type” to that sim, and then they will sit on the other sim’s lap when they are the actor of the interaction. i hope i explained it clearly, but feel free to ask if anything is confusing
