this mod adds a "cry" action to your sim's main menu with my custom animation and a new moodlet.
requires the xml injector
base game compatible
after completing the action, a moodlet will appear:
this action appears in the following moods:
sad
stressed
uncomfortable
scared
embarrassed
the action applies to the following groups: teenagers-elders.
for teenagers, crying helps increase emotional control if you play with the parenthood game pack.
I also added privacy distance. when you press action, the sim will ask other people in the room to leave so they can cry alone. It works the same way as with a shower or toilet. therefore, romantic partners can cry in front of each other as much as they want.

Hi, I downloaded the mod and i have the updated version on XML but I don't see the option to pop up at all. i have even forced different negative emotions specified up above but it's still not popping, and I'm not sure what to do.
hi! i'm really sorry to hear that, it should be working. i just tested it on my end using the "stressed" mood, maybe try using cheats to give your sim that mood and let me know if the interaction appears? a few things that come to mind: 1. could it be that you still have an older version of xml injector in your mods folder, along with the new 4.2 version? 2. is the xml injector .tscript file placed too deep in subfolders? it should be no more than one folder deep inside "mods" 3. try clearing your game cache. sometimes that helps resolve issues like this 4. you could also try removing all other mods and only leave cry mod and xml injector to see if it appears. if it does, the issue might be a mod conflict. in that case, you can use the "better exceptions" mod by tmex to detect which mod is causing it. please let me know if any of this helps whenever you get a chance!
Just redownloaded because TS4 hates me...but why did I just notice the bit about tea and your laptop? You're extremely lucky - I spilled hot tea on mine and it decided to quit completely.

they’re compatible, but when using my crying animations, the tears and red eyes from chingu’s mod won’t show up

hi! the cry action only appears if your sim is in certain negative moods. could you also check if you have the latest version of the xml injector installed? it’s required for the mod to work

unfortunately, I don't really understand yet how to set up the action autonomy so that it works correctly. maybe over time I'll figure it out and add a second file with the autonomy option!

To avoid breaking the 4th wall, you should capitolize the right words in the moodlets. like wherethe moodlet days "Relief From crying.." crying should be Crying. otherwise it's obvious it's not part of the game and therefore ruins the 4th wall
