Remove Shoes in Water
This small mod hides a Sim's shoes when they are swimming, wading, lying on the water, or relaxing in hot springs or hot tubs.
It's compatible with custom feet if they are made as default replacements for the bare feet (i.e. by MagicBot (which I use) or by Necrodog). It will remove custom feet if they are made as socks or shoes.

Is there any way to keep the flippers from being hidden? They take those off as well.
No, they don't differ from any other shoes
I always wanted my Sims to wear flip-flops while walking on the beach, but they would immediately try to get into the water while still wearing them! So I always had them go barefoot whenever they wore swimwear. 😂 Thank you so much for making this mod! It’s one of those little things that just makes you think, “How did we not have this already?” Exactly what I needed! ❤️

what if the custom feet are neither shoes nor default replacements, but are selected through the ww selector menu?
I don't know how exactly it's implemented, but until WW doesn't apply feet as shoes or socks technically it will work fine. You can test it safely
