Hey folks! I already mentioned this over on twitter, which is where I post news and updates more regularly, but this one's important so I wanted to make sure to post it here, too:
As part of development on Rack 2's MP update, RackNET's ability to sort custom characters by species is offline - at least temporarily. This is being done for boring technical reasons described briefly over here. The short version is that it allows MP sessions to run more efficiently!
On the topic of RackNET, I've also migrated it to HTTPS (welcome to 2010) and got some proper account recovery tools working, for whenever the update finally happens.
Spellbound Offline Executable
The second-most requested feature, right behind more interactions with Locket / female characters! (And don't worry; I'm not ignoring that one.)
I finally figured out a reasonable solution to get a temporary local filehost running with a little python script and some help from a 3rd-party solution called Mongoose. The only thing that might still be finicky while playing fulling offline is teledildonics, but I'll look into it.
In other words: you can now download Spellbound and play it offline.

local_graphics.exe is just the latest Mongoose binary, which is also open source: http://mongoose.ws/binary/

Since Fek has deserted without word, ne1 know of other games similar to this one, only minus the Trojan in their products by the author? I mean I love the BDSM aspect! Would go nuts over a mashup like Conan Exiles/Slaves of Rome/Wild Life/Star Citizen with different planets one can visit for the variety of species (Humanoid/Droid/Anthro), bases with dungeons one can design/build, space ships one could fly with interior being as much like a dungeon as any basement. Must be 3D rpg rather than pixel, 2D, or vis nov.

honestly. was an idiot and pledged money to get the latest version of the game. he's on bsky now and there hasn't been a peep about rack, just him posting comics and retweeting crap lmao.

I don't recommend it; the game doesn't work regardless of the version I'm using. I strongly advise against contacting the author if you haven't received a response.
I did get ahold of fek about a month ago rack 2 at this point is gonna have to be COMPLETELY redone in a different engine and afaik hes not even sure when hes gonna do that
So unfortunately Rack 2 is basically cancelled at this point? It's a shame, I really enjoyed what was produced last, and I was just waiting for an update to renew my subscription, as Rack 2 was my only reason for becoming a patron in the first place. Mainly stuttering/lag issues and lack of features were my complaints. Good concept, and if he wanted more support he could try releasing on Steam, there are a couple games like his sort of, so it's not like he'd get kicked off the platform for indecency.

Is there a way for me to tell it to open the game using a different browser than my default? For performance reasons; my default browser is fine for most things, but really chugs and eats up memory when it comes to running games.
Once the server is up and running, you should be able to copy the url into any browser and it'll load there, instead!

I feel like this is a dumb question that I can find the answer to somewhere else, but, I've been wanting to make a custom character for Rack 1 but I can't get my hands on Flash CS6 or Adobe, is there any good alternatives out there for FLA to SWF?

Bitdefender just went crazy and trashed the exe for spellbound. Like immediately while unzipping the zip file. The file Spellbound.exe is infected with Gen:Variant.Zusy.555000
Gen:Variant.Zusy is a Trojan. Might want to get that patched out
