Hey guys! The next update to the Social Media Add-on is here, and this one is all about drama, relationships and chaos.

Say hello to Lovers, Friends and Enemies!, my aim for the update is to bring relationship driven storytelling and it was inspired by Jax, my problematic white fav from @Essemelle's Unframed Legacy LP on Twitch (go check it out!).

With this update, your social media timeline will feel less random and a lot more personal, either way, Sims are gonna speak their mind a lot more on the timeline.

What's New?

The biggest addiction in this update is relationship aware posting. Sims who follow your sims will now make posts based on how they actually feel about your Sim.

PLEASE NOTE: Your timeline won't be cluttered with messages like these. To keep it natural and varied, 75% of posts will be standard timeline content and 25% will be relationship aware posts.

Types of posts you will see

• Romantic Posts - If a sim has a romantic relationship with your sim, they might post affectionate messages about them publicly

• Situationship Posts - if a high romance bar and low friendship bar exists between your sim and another sim you are following, that Sim may post some emotionally driven messy content about the situation

• Ex Posts - Once you have broken up with a sim but you still follow each other, that Sim may publicly vent about you, the relationship etc.

• Enemy Posts - If your sim has any negative friendship with someone they follow, they may post passive-aggressive (sometimes even just aggressive) comments on the timeline

• Friends Appreciation Posts - Not everything is dramatic, sometimes a sim will just want to appreciate you!

Milestones Status Posts

I have added some new major milestones that will now create public announcements. These are special event-style posts triggered by the following changes;

• Getting into a relationship

• Breaking up

• Getting Engaged

• Getting Married

• Becoming Enemies with someone

These milestone social media posts will show as notifications but also on the timeline like any other social media posts.

NOTE: If you have blocked a sim, none of these will work because just like real life, blocked sims won't show on your timeline!

DMs from EX

Finally new feature is that if you follow your ex on social media, there is a high chance they will send your sims DMs. How you choose to response to your ex is YOUR BUSINESS...

That's it for the new update. I'm hoping in the next update I'll be able to include more milestones and I want to be able to include circumstances (i.e, jealousy, reputation effects etc) to each type of posts so please watch out for more drama from the Social Media Add-on Mod.

I'm also still looking at how to make the timeline UI prettier so please watch out for that too.
