Mini Mod - Gambling All In
Hey everyone! I'm here with a new mini Mod based around Gambling and before you ask, its for Young Adult - Elders, TEENS NOT ENABLED.
With this mod, your Sim can gamble on the computer or their phone. Gambling will have consequences, addictions and even self-exclusion if things get too far.
To start, your Sim will need to sign up to a Gambling Website of their choice. You can even sign up for all 3 if you feel like taking the risk. You can find this under Entertainment on Phone & Web on the Computer.
Once you have joined, you will be able to gamble to your heart's content!
Autonomous Gambling
By default, autonomous gambling is turned off however if you like to live a bit dangerously, you can turn on autonomous gambling by SHIFT CLICKING on your Sim and under Actions, you will find the option.
The more your Sim gambles, the more the game starts to respond. If your sim has 3 losses in a roll, it increases their chance of trying to chase a win and pushes them to gamble more autonomously.
Addictions & Cravings
With this mod, your Sim can develop addictions and cravings. Addictions happen when your sim gambles constantly while Cravings goes away the more your Sim gambles. If your sim develops an addiction, they'll be locked out of gambling until they have gotten rid of the addiction and they can do this either via Rehab or Self-Exclusion.
Addiction &/or Craving doesn't happen instantly because I wanted to focus more on the choices your sims makes and I wanted the consequences to unfold over time instead of just being instant emotions.
Rehab/Self-Exclusion
Rehab - For 500 simoleons, your Sim leave their house for 3 days to try and focus on recovery. When they return, the craving levels are reduced and the addiction reduced. It is now up to your sim to see if they can last without going back to gambling. (This is under Travel on Phone)
Self-Exclusion - Completely free. Your sim will have the option to voluntarily block themselves from gambling for either 3, 7 or 14 days. During that time, all gambling interactions will be locked.
Social Interactions
This mod also comes with 3 new social interactions with various responses based on either your sim's relationships or their addiction level.
Under Friendly - Deep Thoughts, your sim can confess to having a gambling problem.
Under Friendly - Small Talk, your sim can ask for simoleons
Under Mischief, your sim can Demand for Money if they are really desperate.
This mod was created mainly to create some natural drama so whether you play wholesome legacies, chaotic households or realism-focused saves, it's made to fit anything!

No it doesn't conflict with Basemental Gambling.
No it's not linked to Basemental & Adeepindigo's Addiction traits (might be future release)

Hi there, my sim has done the self exclusion once already but 2nd time round there is no option showing to self exclude or go to rehab. Also no option for her to ask for simoleons, she can admit her gambling problem but that's all. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can try to fix this? Thanks
I'll take a look at the self exclusion/rehab issue. To ask for money, your sim will need to have joined a gambling site and can't already be in rehab or self excluded. The two issues could be linked and the self exclude/rehab might not be showing a second time because those interactions weren't completed properly.
I cant get this to show up in game. Can you help?
Make sure you have her framework mod in your game and lot 51 core mod After that It can be found on your sims phone in the entertainment section and under the web menu on the computer

I love this but what’s the highest amount you can gamble? My sims are self made millionaires and I wanna do a riches to loss storyline
Not large amounts at all. I'll see in the future if I can do losses based on household amounts
