Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Pre-Patch Day

EA are releasing a pre-patch for the new DLC coming out later this month. The good news is that, for the first time, they’ve also shared a code change guide for modders, which lets us see what’s being updated and how it might affect mods.

From what I can see so far, nothing in the guide directly impacts my mods… but as we all know, never say never.

They’ve also released a TDESC, which shows that there will be code differences in the update, even though we can’t see the exact changes until the patch goes live. One thing that stood out is a large number of changes in career tuning, which means some (or all) of my career mods may need updates. At this stage, this is just a heads-up. I don’t yet know what those changes are, and hopefully nothing breaks, so you can keep playing while I work quietly in the background if needed.

If you’d like to continue playing without interruptions, I recommend disabling automatic updates in the EA App until mod updates are confirmed. If you choose to update your game and play with a modded folder anyway, please note that I won’t be able to provide support for issues during that period.
