Hey guys! I'm so excited to share my brand new Social Media Add-on mod that is a spin-off from the WAG mod! I made this mod with my friend, @Essemelle in mind so check out her stories on Twitch because they are soooo good!
This mod is opened for all member because the support has been so great, thank you to those that have been genuinely supporting me! I really appreciate it and can't wait to show you guys just how much more I have planned for this game (& maybe other games)
This mod expands how your sims experience social media in game, adding more depth, realism and fun interactions. This mod integrates with the current Social Media in-game meaning you will need to have created a Social Media Profile which is a game feature!
This mod adds on-top of what exists. It doesn't override anything so ZERO CONFLICTS!! All these new interactions can be found on the computer in the Social Media pie menu - Social Media Add-on or on the Phone under Social Media
Key Features
Follower & Followings:
Your sim can now Follow Sims! I decided not to restrict this to just sims you've met so you can follow just about anyone!
Check how many followers your Sim has and see a list of who’s following them, real Sims and twitter usernames (check all these people out on Twitter!!) to make the world feel alive.
View who your Sim is following and get random posts on their timeline.
Timeline Updates
Your Sim can scroll through their timeline to see random trending hashtags and posts from other Sims and Twitter Accounts
Posts will have varied unique notifications
Direct Messages
Sims can send DMs to people they follow
Sims can also receive DMs from followers or friends, depending on their relationships! Following someone with a negative friendship bar? Don't expect them to send you nice messages.
Create your own Social Media Posts
You can make your own social media post! A text input lets you decide what you want to share!
Posts will trigger follower reactions and can affect your follower count depending on whether the post is something people agree with
Sims will also receive buffs based on the type of posts they make
Sims can write posts based on certain moods (Happy, Sad, Angry, Confident & Flirty) and the Generic posts
Social Media Fight
Your sim can direct or subtweet other people as well! If you choose to direct them, you will get a reply from that sim directly! If you subtweet them, you might get replies from random people, keeping the drama alive!
And that's it!
This add-on makes the social media part of Sims 4 feel more interactive and immersive. Whether your Sim is chasing fame, stirring up drama, or just sharing life updates, there’s always something happening in their digital world.

I corrected a social media account on the computer have all the interactions on the computer but the app never shows up
do we still need high charisma skill to unlock it? i cant find it on my phone. i am using the chalkd ui, that might be messing with it, but it worked before so idk

this mod is broken, it would let me open the game, but my screen was dim and I couldn't load the game.
The mod works fine. Its been tested multiple times, double check that you have everything required
I saw no use for the original social media vanilla gameplay, but this? mixed with your other mods?? oh, a time is about to be haddd 😭😭 I was needing an NFL career mod!! Thank you 💕

is it conflict with Adeepindigo's Social Media Add-On ? seems is not working once I have both on my game
Do you use adeepindigo's blogging mod? I found that once my sims register a blog, they can post on social media to their hearts content! IDK if this just circumvents an issue with adeepindigo's social media addon, or if its blogging related!

this is suchhh a fun mod!!! One of my favorites now. I love it and end up indulging too much, just like social media irl lol!! It's also so lightweight compared to social bunny so I don't worry about my saves bloating if I had a ton of sims using it. Love it. Also I love the option to write a custom DM/post but might it be possible in the future to instead do a "happy dm", "flirty dm" or generic "flirty post" etc etc? Maybe we could submit suggestions for text so you don't have to come up with it all.

will these interactions count as engaging in social media for any goals that require that? Will any of them add to fame for sims in the fame system?
No and the ones that adds to Fame shows it
u can’t get this one to work at all, i’ve followed all steps. i can’t create a social media profile bc i don’t see it
You don’t see it bcos you need to either be in the social media career, fame level 1 or charisma level 6

guys the mod works.... you have to create a soical media account. i was able to do that on the computer and the app showed up on the phone afterwards
Is it possible to change the already existing social bunny app inside the phone? Changing the UI so we could write our own private messages to the Sims, react with one of all social bunny emotions, and also write our own individual posts?

Hello, I tried to download the mods: Lumpinou's Mood Pack, Lot51 Core and Basemental Venue List that are required for the Fashion Designer mod, and it tells me that they are unknown or damaged files, how can I fix this?

is it working? I couldn't use it in my updated game
I dont think so. As soon as the new expansion pack released, the game immediately gave me an exception report stating the tuning on this mod is bad.

Is this separate to Social Bunny? can my sim use both this mod and social bunny?
