The August update mainly focuses on more natural low-light vision, improved nighttime behavior, cleaner exposure, better ambient lighting, and more controlled glare and bloom. We don’t want to spoil too much just yet, since the full update drops in 3 days.

One interesting addition is a new Purkinje Effect, which simulates how human vision changes in darker conditions. The effect smoothly becomes more noticeable as the scene gets darker and fades out again in brighter conditions. Bright objects, such as headlights and emissives, remain unaffected, and the strength of the effect can be adjusted in the Pure PP App.
