Remember, when a shinigami sacrifices themselves to save a human, their remaining lifespan is added to that human's lifespan. Gelus, the shinigami in love with Misa, saved her from that violent stalker and ended up dying -- so when Misa made the initial eye deal with Rem, her lifespan was already unnaturally long for a human
This is one of my favourite episodes, it also reminds me of how much can happen in a 20 minute episode. I feel with the age of every TV series being a mini film we have almost lost the art of being concise and creative in fitting so much in in a small time period
Oh, yeah there are frequiently continuity errors in animes. For example there is popular one In AOT when Reiner/Bertholdt reveal themselves as titans on the wall, mikasa attacks them, cuts of reiners hand and on the next shot the hand is still attached to his body. Anime usually has super tight schedules to produce episodes, especially those animes that were released in previous decades, sometimes they fix those issues on blueray release.
I'd have to rewatch the scene, but that might not be a continuity error in AOT. He would need to heal himself fully quickly to be able to transform. They weren't able to transform while they were still healing. So my assumption was that he forced himself to heal quickly so that he could. I could be wrong, though. And if we see him without a hand soon after that, then you're definitely right.
i think Misa kinda have a long life ahead of her even she did the deal for the second time since she got the remaining lifespan of that shinigami that saved her that day
yes its remaining life span, Hideki ryuga was his fake name at school and Misa got Gelus' remaining years which *could* be anything
Next episode going to be even better and after that….
