when comparing lost to aot, i like to think that lost has incredible mystery, just as good as aot, but when it comes to the payoff/reveal, it usually falls a bit flat, whereas aot often surpasses what one might expect

interesting thing about the comparisons between death note and aot is that death note's director, Tetsuro Araki is the one who directed the earlier seasons of aot (the 1st and 2nd for sure, and that dictated the directing style for the latter seasons imo) the two shows imo got the same flair even if not they are not of the same genre.
