🎉New videos!!!🎉
Hello everyone!
This month is packed with very special content, including new projects, lesser-known techniques, and a full figure designed especially for those of you who are just getting started. Plus, we're continuing work on a diorama that many of you are eagerly looking forward to.
Review of student figures and giveaway (basic level):
As I announced last month, the painting challenge has come to an end, and in this video I'll take a moment to review the figures submitted by participants. It’s not exactly a tutorial, but I will share some helpful tips that might help you improve your technique and results. Also, I’ll hold a special giveaway among the participants: the winner will get to choose any figure they like, and I’ll create a step-by-step guide on how to paint it. It's a way to wrap up the challenge by celebrating your effort and further encouraging community learning.Advanced techniques guide (basic level):
We already have a previous video explaining common techniques like glazing, dry brushing, and washing. But this month I want to take it a step further with a guide focused on slightly more advanced and lesser-known techniques, ideal for those who already have the basics down and want to expand their toolkit. The goal is to open up new possibilities so you can experiment and improve your results with more resources and creativity. How to paint Mystique clothing and base (advanced level):
After the success of the video where we painted Mystique's figure with two different skin tones, now it's time to tackle her outfit... and it won't be an easy task. In this video, we'll go over all the details of the clothing, aiming to keep it consistent with the skin’s transformation effect. We’ll also work on the figure’s base, and I’ll take the chance to show you a few new tricks using products I haven’t introduced yet.How to paint Tony Stark portrait (advanced level):
Tony Stark is one of our favorite characters, and that’s why he deserves a video entirely dedicated to his portrait. In this episode, we’ll focus on bringing his face to life with all the character that defines him, paying attention to every nuance to achieve a believable and powerful expression. This portrait will be a key piece for the diorama we’re creating alongside the Iron Man figure we painted last month. A challenge well worth it for the final result. How to paint Tony Stark clothing (medium level):
I hope you’re as excited as I am about this diorama! In this second video dedicated to the Tony Stark figure, we’ll focus on the clothing, aiming for a clean and elegant style that still stands out. We’ll work with precision to achieve a striking finish that pairs perfectly with the portrait and complements Iron Man’s presence in the scene. How to paint Tony Stark and Iron Man base (advanced level):
Of course, this diorama wouldn’t be complete without a joint base worthy of its protagonists. In this video, we’ll focus on recreating Iron Man’s iconic arc reactor, which will serve as the visual centerpiece of the entire composition. The goal will be to make it shine—literally—using simulated light techniques that make it look lit without any LEDs. An advanced challenge that will add a spectacular touch to the final piece. How to paint Harley Quinn portrait (easy level):
You’ve asked for it many times: DC Universe figures! And as always, I’m listening. This month I’m introducing a long-requested addition: a full figure at an easy level. But “easy” doesn’t mean simple or low quality—it just means I’ll find ways to paint it using accessible techniques for everyone, without sacrificing great results. We’ll start with Harley Quinn’s portrait, aiming to capture all her personality with a clear, direct, and very practical approach. How to paint Harley Quinn clothing (easy level):
This video will be especially interesting because Harley Quinn’s outfit is full of details worth highlighting. Even though we’re still at an easy level, we won’t skimp on quality or results, so get ready for a long video where we’ll go through each part of the costume step by step. The goal is to show that, with patience and clear instructions, any painter can tackle complex figures without fear. How to paint Harley Quinn base (easy level):
To finish up this Harley Quinn figure, it’s time for the base. I’m not entirely sure yet whether I’ll make it fully detailed or a bit simpler, but what I do know is that it’ll be interesting. I’ll likely use this video to include some of the figure’s extra elements, like her iconic bat. It will be a great opportunity to learn how to work with accessories and complete the scene in style.
I want to remind you, as I always do, that during this month I'll be painting and recording the videos, but they'll probably be fully published by the beginning of next month.
