Arjac Rockfist - Shield painting tutorial trailer pt. 2
This lesson looks at painting non-metallic gold trim, with a focus on reflections, mid-tones, and contrast.
I build the material gradually, paying close attention to how the surface is oriented and how that affects the placement of light and reflection.
The brighter highlights come in late, with most of the work happening earlier in the process to support the final result.
This lesson pairs directly with the gray shield video and looks at how different materials can sit next to each other without competing.
