A character design trick for people who can’t draw

“I can’t draw” is the thing I hear most from people who want to make their own character but never start.

So I recorded a whole lesson on fixing that!

It shows how to design a turnaround drawing of your original character in Photoshop, or any free alternative like Photopea or Gimp. And it only relies on primitive shapes and very very basic line-art that you can do with your computer mouse.

The core idea is to:

A) Use character references

B) Use rectangles and circles to give your design a silhouette

C) Draw the details in ITERATIONS

Your final turnaround will NOT be perfect. But that’s totally fine, because it’s enough to make a model of your character in Blender.
