For a while now, I’ve been toying with the idea of updating Black Crusade to fit the current 40k setting, post-Great Rift, post-Cadia, post-returning Primarchs. With Liber Prospero 0.28 finally out, I can finally dig into it properly. The most significant addition to the setting is, of course, the introduction of the Primaris Space Marines.
Primaris are a big part of the new status quo. Now, Primaris are cool, and most of us who also collect miniatures (or like me use them for Black Crusade as actual miniatures for the game) are well aware that they are here to stay. But while Chaos Space Marines got updates sculpts to match Primaris, Chaos Space Marines are still all Firstborn; and the new Primaris? Well they are supposedly incorruptible.
But that’s not going to stop me. Even if it means venturing into territory Games Workshop hasn’t fully explored, I want Black Crusade players to have the option to play as a Primaris Space Marine: Renegade, Traitor, or something worse.
