[Homebrew] [Black Crusade] Liber Prospero 0.28 - Pyrae Update
Hi everyone,
I come bearing good news, finished work, and a slightly scorched PDF....
Liber Prospero 0.28 is finally here.
The Pyrae have emerged from the fires of revision, and I’m proud (and slightly relieved) to share the completed update with you all.
The Pyrokinesis Discipline
The Pyrae Prosperine Cult finally got their full discipline, Pyrokinesis, launching with 9 spells (and likely a few more to come in the future).
The Pyrae are the Lords of Fire, and masters of the Thousand Sons' armouries. The term Pyromancer is nothing but an insult to these hot-blooded Sons of Magnus the Red, and even their weakest spells manage to easily show that.
Reworked Cult Benefits
As part of the Pyrae update, several Prosperine Cults have received revisions to their Cult Benefits in order to bring things more in line with intended power levels (and reality).
The Athanaeans still retain the weakest Cult Benefit, gaining Cold Hearted and Polyglot for free, but now also gain a small tactical edge: they receive a bonus against targets who also possess the Cold Hearted Talent.
The Corvidae have been adjusted. They were never meant to reroll every failed WS or BS test with impunity. Now, they may reroll failed tests only up to half their Psy Rating in Degrees of Failure. AND as always, the usual “only one reroll per test” rule still applies.
The Pavonii have likewise been scaled back. Their bonus movement is now capped at half their Psy Rating, rather than the full value.
The Pyrae, as teased in the preview, received a full rework. They now gain enhanced resistance to fire effects, allowing them to resist being set alight more easily, and with considerably more grace.
General Improvements
The overall layout of the document has been revised for better organization and improved aesthetics. The formatting used for the new Pyrae spells will now serve as the standard going forward, and I plan to gradually rework the older spells to match this improved presentation and structure. This is for Liber Prospero 0.29!
That's it then!
As always, you can download the latest version of Liber Prospero directly from this post.
And one last thing
The Athenaeum Heretica Discord, previously exclusive to patrons, is now open to the public!
This change comes thanks to the Cultists, who unanimously agreed it was time to open the gates.
Everyone is now welcome to join, chat, share ideas, and lurk as they please.
So if you haven’t yet, come by and say hello:
[Athenaeum Heretica Discord]
Cultist-tier patrons still keep all their existing perks, and a few new ones are on the way.
See you there.
