far and away, the BEST X-Men film

K

I love the happy ending. It makes me so happy that the changes Logan made in the past resulted in a future where everyone's alive and happy :)

N Garo · October 4, 2026

When logan wakes up the timeline changed after the 70s incident so all the events from then have changed. The original trilogy never happens. Logans mind now takes hold so he remembers the old events.

I Guess it's Time for X-Men Apocalypse

Yes! Now you understand why Evan Peters being in WandaVision was so insane! He plays Pietro in the X-Men universe (and his little sister is probably Wanda). When he showed up in WandaVision, there was a ton of theorizing about what it might mean. Was she pulling variants in from the multiverse? Was there a greater power at play who could see across timelines? No. It's nothing like that. As far as I can tell, in MCU continuity, Evan Peters just plays Ralph Bohner, a guy who happened to live in Westview and then a stooge for Agatha. The whole thing was just a meta joke. They got us, but it was a fun ride. The Rogue cut adds about 20 minutes. Most of it is the sequence in the future where Kitty gets hurt and they retrieve Rogue. In the theatrical version, they cut that and Kitty stays at her post. There are also a few other added moments of dialogue sprinkled throughout the movie, but nothing major. Some people think the Rogue cut interrupts the flow of the movie and introduces plot problems just to wedge a fan favorite character where she isn't needed. Others really like the added scenes, appreciate Rogue's presence, and think it deepens the story. I could go either way.

Eralia, the people in ancient Egypt at the end were chanting "EN! SABAH! NUR!" En Sabah Nur translates to "The First One" in Arabic. At 5,000 years old, he is considered one of the first mutants. The comics have different translations and origin stories, but basically he is the oldest and most powerful mutant that still exists. The 4 horsemen that you see past him, are THE Four Horsemen, their powers granted to them by En Sabah Nur. The rest is spoilers, so I will leave it there.

You can still take guided tours of the Pentagon. I'll be at the Pentagon next weekend for the Army 10-miler.

Um, where did you rent this from? I was really looking forward to this one, I have it on disc, digital, and on Disney+. What I don’t have is The Rouge Cut. So, where do I have to go to rent this version?

C
CapitalEffyou · October 2, 2026

Amazon Prime.

I think at one point you idly wondered if this is canon? I'm assuming not MCU canon, since in the MCU they've established that this isn't how time works. This was very much along a similar vein to BTTF, which Smart Hulk said was rubbish. Maybe other Multiverses can treat time differently? Not sure. (Though the whole 'Sacred Timeline' would seem to indicate otherwise. Did Logan just create another branch?)

It was difficult to keep on track with you watching the Rouge cut but I got by. It's the 1st of October now and I'm 2 beers deep and going to do some music reaction videos on YouTube. Ok now here's my Daredevil pitch. Maybe you can watch 1 season of the old Netflix Daredevil that's now on Disney. You could even start on Jessica Jones. It's addictive Eralia. Yes, that's a warning. You look so great today just keep drinking water and doing all the right things. I know it's a lot of crap. Hope to keep up with you Eralia.

Ayo Back from the past to get back to the future days of future past...... Welcome back 😂😂 Great video as always

S
SquaredSpekz · October 1, 2026

Yeah, Logan wakes up and the changes are set so he wakes up back in the future but everyone is fine and alive because no Sentinels, and also lucked out with a timeline where Jean didn't go all mad Phoenix and had to die. Welcome to Fox X-Men where shit changes every single time. 🤣

B
Benjamin Hunt · October 1, 2026

Selfishly, I'm annoyed that the commenters were so insistent on the Rogue Cut since it's not on Disney or particularly easy to find elsewhere. I don't blame Eralia for a second. Ugh. Guess I'll just watch normal version and recalibrate the tracking a hundred times.

CapitalEffyou · October 2, 2026

Amazon Prime? Streamio?

Peter saying "My Mom knew a guy (that can control metal) once" is a reference to the fact that in the comics, Magneto is Wanda and Pietro's Dad. Because of weird licensing, X-Men had a version of Pietro here but couldn't use Wanda because she was at the MCU. And the MCU obviously couldn't say Magneto was their Dad over in Age of Ultron so they changed the origin there as well.

HE CHANGED THE FUTURE...DUH CMON WERE YOU EVEN WATCHING???? HOW DID YOU NOT GET IT?

T

In her defense, it felt very dreamlike and otherworldly, in that overdone color-grading way movies loved to do back then. I'm sure she'll sort it out, it's gonna be okay, man! =D

K
Kyle Rutledge · October 1, 2026

I would say just stick to release order at this point. Logan would be the final movie to watch (a generational MOVIE, not just a comic book movie), for my vote. As always, W react

K
KAM5Brain · September 30, 2026

They just completely gloss over Bishop, a fan favorite. This was supposed to be his origin/introduction, but they gave all his stuff to Wolverine and Kitty. Like if LotR was all "Hey Frodo never actually destroyed the ring, let's just leave him at the prancing pony and have Sam take the ring to mt doom" budget restraints? too much plot already crammed into 2+ hrs? Extremely enjoyable otherwise. QUICKSILVER as he always should have been YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS youtube has the prespective of everyone else it's worth the search so fun (and now you know how ridiculous it was how he died in his intro movie) https://youtu.be/w0obSpvhg9k?si=vFNpmb6qygCC-WtY The cameo in WandaVision was awesome Bodyweight exercises.'prison fit' or something like it was kinda popular for a minute precovid The prison break is SO GREAT and Time in a Bottle is one of my most favorite songs Mutations hit with puberty so Styker's kid would be early for it Charles meets the Professor scene was soooooooooooo nice OH DAYUM Xavier did a Picard maneuver Pointing out plot holes isn't hater. Heroes that overcome strawman enemies are straw heroes. Don't listen to the toxic positivity "good vibes only" zealots Rogue can take powers forever, she's just never killed/coma'd anyone in the MCU yet Magneto vs Wolverine goes some brutal places in the comics, nice of them to do a 'salt bae' of that It's all sepia-ish because it's the "golden future" More Quicksilver in Apocalyse! then Logan, then DP2 (DP2 big Logan spoilers first minutes) LET"S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Great reaction as always and thank you for springing for the Rogue Cut. You'll probably see some hate for Apocalypse but don't sweat it. It's true that the writing was seemingly outsourced to a high school A/V club, but you see things in Apocalypse you don't get anywhere else....crazy shit. Still more than worth it!

I wanted so much to watch-along this X-men movie reaction but Rogue cut is not available in my area :(

C

Try Streamio.

M
Matthew Wagner · September 30, 2026

The Rogue cut is very overrated, it shoe horns an unnecessary character in, adds nothing to the movie and introduces yet another plot hole to the timelines. Didn't she get "cured"? I know Rogue has never gotten her due, but this was just fan service and not in a good way.

N
N Garo · October 4, 2026

We know the cure isnt perminent. We see that when Magneto slightly moves a chess piece at the end of that movie.

Z
Znorthup · September 30, 2026

NGL, your reaction to this made the purchase I made for the rogue cut all the more worthwhile so thank you for that E. 🙏🙂 Love that Loki has become a bit of a Stan Lee cameo maker for your videos BTW lol 😻😅. Here's to Doomsday cause I'm pretty sure This team is the one that's gonna be facing off against Dr Doom. How many of them are gonna survive in "this" timeline? 🧐😂 Regardless, can't wait to see your thoughts to Poe Dameron as the X-Men's Apocalypse but until then, continue to live your best life E! ✌️😉

M
Matthew Wagner · September 30, 2026

You get Sunspot's origin in The New Mutants. You also get Colossus's sister and Kitty's best friend, Magik. It is worth the watch, even if it didn't really go anywhere - and it leads right in to Logan.

A
Alex Ch · October 1, 2026

I’m glad you enjoyed it. Every movie is for someone. Even as a diehard issue 1 fan, that movie is not for me.

R
Robert · September 30, 2026

The X-Men have reset their timeline 6 times because there’s never been a timeline where Magneto is wrong. Seventh time’s a charm? 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

#
#MaxwellDidNothingWrong · September 30, 2026

Actually, I like that as a core thematic of the franchise, like Dr. Strange searching for that 1 in 3 million. We're going to do it until we get it right, because who we are defines what we're ok with. And we simply refuse to be ok with a war for supremacy as a means to survival. Maybe that's what the X-Men are fundamentally about, the struggle for peaceful co-existence

N
Nic Benham · September 30, 2026

Fantastic reaction as always. So are we all in agreement we can just focus on the Wolverine and Deadpool films now? No need for anymore xmen films 😅

N
Nic Benham · September 30, 2026

I meant all films focusing on both wolverine and Deadpool 😆

D
Darj · September 30, 2026

The comics have done this for decades, but I think this was the first movie that introduced the concept of alternate timelines within a single movie. The x-men movies were always separate from the MCU (DUE TO LICENCING ISSUES OF ALL THINGS) so there was always a question of how those fit together, are they happening in the same universe just separately, is it parallel universes, is it a completely separate and unconnected thing? But we shall soon find out, eh?

C
CapitalEffyou · October 2, 2026

But Marvel was young, and needed the money! (idk if ppl will get that ref, but it's hilarious)

T
Thomas Hall · September 30, 2026

When Wolverine woke up, the future with the Sentinels in the beginning no longer exists because Raven didn't kill Trask. So yes, like Kitty said it's like the last 50 years never happened and Logan will be the only one to remember it. That timeline is now deleted, (like it never happened) with a new future :)

B
BerzerkFreak97 · September 30, 2026

Since you've been watching superhero movies like crazy this last year & Halloween is coming up, maybe you should watch Brightburn in full costume for a spooky reaction. 😏🤞
