Hey! Amazing, amazing amazing! I wanted to share just a couple things with you: (1) there is actually a connection between a song on this album and the MCU -- specifically the film Eternals (2021) [and FWIW a very underated film in my opinion]; (2) another song also appears prominently in one of the trailers for the first Dune movie; (3) the entire album is linked to the film The Wizard of Oz -- I won't even try to explain, but if you google it you will definitely find it. the song with the lady doing the oooh aahhhs was improvised, they invited her in and sing what you feel, she did that in one take. I had a dvd back in the day with the making of the album and was a great watch,but unfortunately i cant recall it's name.

Somewhere down the road, I recommend Demon Days by GORILLAZ. It’s a “concept album” like Dark Side of the Moon, where it has a narrative through-line. *Edited to add: The album is the dialed-in version, but there’s also a concert film, which has up to 30ish people on stage to bring the full sound to life.

I first saw Floyd on the Pulse tour in 89, at the shoe at OSU. I was so blown away, I bought 20 tickets for friends and family, their only job was to get me there. And I wanted to see how in the hell they could fit that show inside! It filled an entire stadium, and they fit it inside. Dark Side was the second half of the show. Have been a Floyd fan since 73, and will always be. Maybe not for the channel, listen to their earlier stuff, more bluesy and psychedelic. Barrett stopped by when they were recording Dark Side, and was behind the boards. When the group went into the studio to talk to the engineer, they asked who was the old man who stopped by? They didn't recognize him; he had changed so much in a few years.
