Hey Eralia I really hope you are reading my comments. I really enjoying watching along with you with your reaction videos and yeah, so I joined your Patrion so I can watch the long reactions. If you had not watched the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies you would never have enjoyed Spider-Man No Way Home. It would have been enjoyed 60 to 75 percent at the most my good women. By watching those great movies Eralia, you enjoyed 89.5% of this movie. That's right Eralia, that's how much you enjoyed this movie. Because you never watched the old Daredevil Netflix series. I watched the short YouTube reaction video. The scene when Peter's attorney (blind) catches the brick that crashed into his apartment. Didn't have the reaction some of us wanted. Why not? Because you never watched Daredevil the man without fear!!! Glad of the edit feature

Great watch, as always! You have a few options for next steps: - Across the Spider-Verse - Yes, definitely watch this; it's very good. - Venom movies with Tom Hardy - These aren't necessary for MCU reasons, but you seemed into it, so you could start those. There are three, and I think they're a step down from any of the real Spider-Man movies, but they have a loyal fanbase. FYI, there is a whole non-connecting universe of Spider-Man adjacent movies made by Sony (not the MCU people). It includes Morbius, Madam Web, and Kraven the Hunter. I don't think it's controversial to say they aren't very good, but they do exist, and sometimes they sort of awkwardly reference Spider-Man. - WandaVision - This is arguably the best MCU show and absolutely required viewing for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (which is in Phase 4). It already has one sequel/second season and another comes out soon. - Loki Season 2 - You should watch this, but you should probably wait until after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in Phase 5. - Phase 4 MCU movies - Black Widow is next, then Shang-Chi, Eternals, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. You should watch them all. The order doesn't really matter, but you might as well do them in release order. - Prep for Doctor Strange - I already mentioned WandaVision, which you should definitely watch, but there are a lot of other references. You should watch at least one X-Men movie. You could watch any one of the Fantastic Four movies, but it doesn't matter which one. What If...? is somewhat relevant. You could watch the Inhumans, but it is not well-regarded; maybe just watch a trailer. You can get by without the references, but it is more fun with them. - X-Men - This should probably be the next rabbit hole. You'll need to see at least some of them before Deadpool & Wolverine in Phase 5, so no hurry, but there are a lot (up to 11) plus a second Deadpool. They're iconic and definitely the most important pre-MCU Marvel franchise, along with Spider-Man. - Other MCU shows - There are so many shows! The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is required viewing for Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts in Phase 5. Ms. Marvel is required viewing for The Marvels in Phase 5. What If...? is an animated show. I think you said you were into animation, and it's got a very distinct style, so it might be worth checking out. There are more, but I don't think they affect the movies yet. Some heavily intersect and might have implications later, including Hawkeye, She-Hulk, and Secret Invasion. - MCU-adjacent shows: Daredevil is very good, and you missed a cameo from him as the lawyer in this movie. You could watch that universe of Netflix shows, but it's like 14 seasons altogether. It doesn't connect much with the MCU, but it will in the next Spider-Man movie and maybe more after that. Agents of SHIELD is also good in its own way and was directly tied to the MCU, but it doesn't affect the movies.

In prep for the next Dr Strange movie, and horror genre...(you did ask for suggestions and this does have connections) Evil Dead.. 1 and 2 are basically the same... but Army of Darkness definitely! It will show the directors humor and style as well as the main actor 😉 comedy/horror-ish?...

Thanks for such a magical experience E!! Here's to hoping you do WandaVision soon cause you'll definitely need the context of that for Dr Strange 2 ❤️🖤❤️

So i rewatched Loki s2 & forgot that marvel updates the title sequence with movie snippets. either delay Loki s2 (noooooo i mean i get it but ugh) or look away from the m-a-r-v-e-l opening bits every time. I also recommend the x-men movies before wandavision (not super required tho).

E
Erik Ballew · June 16, 2026

Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is a CRAZY movie. It's basically a Sam Raimi horror comedy, lol. But he directed the first 2 Toby Spiderman movies. I LOVED it, but there are a lot of people who didn't.

L
Lizard Ahaz · June 24, 2026

Most of the ones who hated it had no exposure to the MCU multiverse and the pre-MCU marvel movies.

T
Troy · June 16, 2026

If you need a break from superhero movies, I think you'd love "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" if you haven't already seen it.

he had to sacrifice at the end basically erase peter parker but spiderman lives on. Also Into the spiderverse is completely different and not connected to this multiverse at least for now i belive.

Once you finish Loki you can watch Deadpool and Wolverine. I watched it before Loki and the TVA confused the crap out of me.

K
KyoteJones · June 14, 2026

When you realize the three Tom Holland movies were actually the introduction movies for his Spider-Man. Aunt May being the Uncle Ben in his life. Putting him where he was always meant to be. Also, Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness (MOM) is a Sam Rami film. He also worked on the Evil Dead and Tobey McGuire Spider-Man films. Id recommend watching Evil Dead before watching MOM to get the full Rami experience.

R
Robert C Wilson · June 14, 2026

Wow hadn't seen this since it came out. Was really cool to see your reaction to all the spiders. Definitely think you have to watch WandaVision. It sets up Dr Strange 2.

M
Michael · June 14, 2026

WandaVision is some really good tv and really good Marvel and provides a good context for the next time we see Wanda in the movies. Tom Hardy's Venom franchise is a lot of fun.

S
Simon Argent · June 14, 2026

Goddamn, this movie is so good. There's a reason it's in my top 3 MCU movies. Since you started the MCU journey, I've enjoyed every reaction, but there have been three that I've been especially excited for: Endgame, this one, and another one still to come. Seeing you finally get to No Way Home was such a treat. And now you've seen why so many people were encouraging you to go back and watch the older Spider-Man movies first. This movie was made for Spider-Man fans across multiple generations. Seeing all those familiar faces return, played by the original actors, was such a huge moment when this first released. The first time I watched it, the reveals had me grinning like an idiot. What I love most is that it isn't just fan service. All those returning characters actually matter to the story, and Peter's journey in this movie is fantastic. It manages to be funny, emotional, nostalgic, and genuinely heartbreaking all at once. As for where to from here, I'd definitely recommend finishing Loki and giving WandaVision a watch before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. They're both limited series, so they're not massive commitments, and they add a lot of context moving forward. And don't forget there are still a few Phase 4 movies sitting there waiting for you: Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals. Whatever order you tackle things in, you've got some fun stuff ahead. Either way, that's just my 10 cents. As always, I'm here for the ride, wherever it goes.

C
Christopher Swofford · June 14, 2026

TFATWS is not to be missed, either. I'm surprised it hasn't been suggested and insisted upon more. It's basically a 4th Captain America movie in the form of a TV show and it's excellent. Hawkeye as well, Moon Knight, etc. Don't let haters push you away from the high road/longer path. They ALL are quality TV. But TFATWS and Wandavision are required viewing or else you will be completely lost down the road.

K
KAM5Brain · June 14, 2026

For "scary" movies I recommend Cabin in the Woods (2011) & Tucker & Dale vs Evil (2010).

K

I recommend peak Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny (1992). Cute wholesome with a bit of yankee v southerner humor

What I learned by watching Spider-Man: Never say "With great Power comes Great Responsibility", you'll die soon after. There is only one Spider-Man you quickly get back together with his GF: That's the one who's died. No Matter how much you care about people, some will hate you anyway. Be prepared to run out of web fluid or strength if you're swinging all day. The Tom Hardy Venom Movies are fun, but they are not exclusively fun, it's dark and funny XD

About the blind lawyer guy who caught the brick before Peter did,… … please watch Daredevil. Thank you. 🙂

S
Skilletonbread · June 13, 2026

So, WandaVision is definitely a prerequisite for the next Doctor Strange movie. Then after that is another Coptain Marvel movie. Some people might recommend adding some other things to that ordar. Glad to know you enjoyed this one. In some ways, everybody's favorite superhero is Spider-Man, maybe just because of his different adaptations and the mutual heartbreak they all bear. Looking forward to what comes next. Take care and enjoy your time with your family, Eralia!

S
Skilletonbread · June 13, 2026

And actually, while I'm not sure what everybidyvelse thinks about this, I think before you get into the WandVision series you'll want to watch the X-Men movies. Maybe watch the Daredevil series leading up to that point, while you finish out most of the other Marvel movies? But as for the X-Men movies, I'd start with X-Men (2000), followed by First Class (for some deeper context as a prequel), followed by X2: United, then Origins (for even more context from a prequel). The rest will follow as people recommend them. But they may hate my recommended order without knowing what I'm thinking.

L
Lizard Ahaz · June 13, 2026

Two good scary movies with Emma Stone in them are Zombieland and Zombieland : Double tap.... and you might want to look into the "Grimm" TV series as well. I almost forgot RIPD is pretty light hearted for a death movie and so is "Dead Like Me" which most people enjoy both the series and the movie.

N
Neil · June 13, 2026

“The Thing” from 1982 and “Hereditary” are a couple of the best horror movies I’ve ever seen

M
MotoDork · June 13, 2026

Why did you skip Black Widow, Shang Chi and Eternals? You're out of release order.

K
Kyle Rutledge · June 13, 2026

The pops in the theatre for all the moments in this movie were insane. Daredevil being cancelled years before this and to have him back. And then Tobey's OG Spidey being a good 15-20 years since we last saw him, then Andrew and the abrupt ending of his movies. That feeling was truly insane. I would for sure say you could deviate now and watch the OG X-Men films and OG Fantastic Four to get into the Fox Marvel universe, because it will tie back in, but not in any meaningful way until like Deadpool 2 and 3 (If you wanted an MCU break), but want to keep watching beautiful superhero stories. None the less, it's been a pleasure to watch someone experience these for the first time and to relive the nostalgia for them.

G
Geo Jose Palathingal · June 13, 2026

Can’t wait for more!! 🔥

J
Jeff McClellan · June 13, 2026

If you really want to watch some "scary" movies, I would highly recommend "Werewolf by Night" (which is actually a Marvel movie but separate from the main MCU timeline). Also, the recent "Frankenstein" (2025) is great. If want something a little lighter, I would suggest "Army of Darkness" or "Shaun of the Dead".

M
McShades · June 12, 2026

You'll need to watch WandaVision before you watch Doctor Strange and the Multiverse. You also still need to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Deadpool 2. And last but not least, you still need to watch all the X-Men movies, I'd watch at least the first X-Men movie before watching Doctor Strange and the Multiverse

A
Alvin Everett · June 12, 2026

You’re the first reactor I’ve seen who’s jumped around Phase Four. Others have watched the new phase 4 shows (caught up on older Spider-Man & X-Men movies while doing so) & the movies in phase 4’s release order (that’s the best way to do it bc there’s a shit ton of limited series, and some multiple seasons, featuring our favorite characters after Endgame, introducing new characters & plot points for later movies).

R
Rey · June 12, 2026

Besides this movie deadpool and wolverine (deadpool 3) is the only other movie atm that is gonna have alot of required viewing before going in and dp3 is going to need you to have seen the wolverine movies and xmen movies to have a good understanding of the plot for that one

T
Troy · June 12, 2026

Awesome react, as always. Wish we had remembered to tell you not to watch the end trailer. I would say "Venom" is optional, as is the second Spiderverse (for now, I mean, timeline-wise.) Before the next Doctor Strange movie, WandaVision is required viewing. It's truly "non-negotiable", which I know sounds weird, but Disney started making TV shows part of the lore/canon/timeline of the movies, this one much more so than Loki. It's one of the few instances where just jumping into the next movie would be very confusing, plot-wise. (There are also a handful of Marvel cameos from non-MCU movies you haven't seen, but there is absolutely way too much to get caught up on for it to be worth getting all the Easter eggs and cameos.) Also, if you get the chance, I would still go back and watch the Black Widow movie, for some semblance of closure with her.

T
Troy · June 12, 2026

Oh, and... that blind lawyer was a cameo that made people cheer when he showed up, but I don't want to spoil why. Someday you might get it, if down the road you end up watching the show he's from. 😁

Hey! Hi! You saw the Dr. Strange 2 trailer there at the end. Please watch WandaVision before it. Required reading if it were. Otherwise the movie will make no sense! Also, yes, that was Venom! No rush on that to watch... its not really related to the MCU, more of a Sony property they wanted to "connect". But all the best wishes!!!

It's kinda crazy how they made this movie the TRUE origin story of this universe's Spider-Man. We just got thrust in the middle of his story and he never had that push to be the hero he was supposed to be. Up until this point he was just a kid with spider powers in a spandex suit. But being Spider-Man is so much more. It requires sacrifice. It requires pushing beyond the pain and the loneliness and continue being selfless. MCU's Peter had all the building blocks for it, but up until this movie, all of it never fell into place. After today, he's ready to actually be Spider-Man.
