The Truth About Growth 馃尶 | The Eralia Show

Going back to this video I missed to get my eralia fix. (And yes, that looks worse typed out.) This is good stuff, btw. I wish I had shut more people out back in my youth. I made it too easy to let myself be talked out of so many things, and then I 'blame' them, when the only person really to blame is myself for listening to their doubt. At the end of the day, the only* person we need to worry about letting down is ourselves, because as you pointed out, we're always with ourselves so it'd suck if we don't like who we are. (* - Obviously there are exceptions. We have friends and family and coworkers who we care enough about to not want to let them down, but even then, it doesn't do us any good to not let any of them down if in the process we let ourselves down.)
thank you for this amazing episode again! i absolutely agree with everything you said. it鈥檚 also very motivating and uplifting to hear someone actually say these things, not being afraid to do so <33
Good shit! :) That video was mighty impressive and inspiring. Thank you for creating this video, it really made me smile and think back on some of my past. Not all great/[positive memories, but I definitely grew from each of them and in the end that's what I feel matters most. Awesome video Eralia! :)
Damm that one hit. Growth isn't always easy so hearing it framed like this is such a win. Respect for sharing this one so honestly, E.
One more thought I had after marinating on this episode for a little while: Regarding those who take from others what they, themselves, do not have, my most recent experience with this was with someone who utterly lacked patience. Rather than learn from the amount of patience I did my best to have with some of their less savory behavioral patterns, they seemed to see it as something to exploit, be it subconsciously or otherwise. It can be very frustrating when someone who has the least of it will instinctively demand the most of it from others. In my case, it was as though she saw stoicism as something to be challenged, rather than respected.
This edition is hitting quite literally whilst I am in the middle of a particularly challenging practice session (guitarist). There is always the lingering thought that my ambitions outweigh my abilities, but every time that I've chosen to bulldoze my way through those doubts, I've eventually arrived at whatever my current "promised land" is. This time shall be no different, but, oh, My GOD, what I am working on right now is so ludicrously hard! I appreciated this video quite a lot. Thanks for sharing!
" letting it go" is such a revelation when u understand that letting it go or letting things go can be such a weight or burden that can be taken off your back. People can have issues physically emotionally and mentally just by harboring resentment and bitterness.
Awesome, something to watch after gym
