These early movies are so cute and innocent. Slytherins are painted as having the most evil wizards. However, it does not mean every Slytherin is evil. Rowling wrote these books inspired by WWII, so you will see symbolism of racism and discrimination. Just as Hitler had against the Jewish people. The Jewish people representing Muggles. It is odd that she wrote Slytherins to be associated to the Nazis, but I don't think she realized how popular the Houses of Hogwarts would become. Snape is the head of Slytherin, McGonagall is the head of Gryffindor, Madame Sprout is the head of Hufflepuff, and Flitwick (the short wizard) is the head of Ravenclaw. I would recommend watching the movies on Peacock because Peacock has the deleted scenes included, which they provide extra context. You should try doing the Pottermore test to see what House you get sorted in. In reality, you can choose whatever House you want because it is based on what you value the most. The hat just makes recommendations. It is the reason Harry is not in Slytherin because he told the hat to be put in Gryffindor. He values courage and bravery the most.

Its funny you said at the start about not saying voldemort 3 times as it might summon him... Its never explained in the movies, he put a curse on his name so if you said it he knew and could find you or something like that.
Another fantastic reaction! "Tom Riddle is Lord Voldemort?!?!". The same reaction we all had as kids reading the books/watching the movies. Hermione's parents are Muggles - entirely non magical, and in very rare cases they can have a magical child. Harry's mum, and Hermione, are both born from non-magical families. "Purists" call them mudbloods, because they came from non-magical families. The opposite of this is a Squib - a non-magical child born to a magical family. Argus Filch, the caretaker, is a squib. There's actually a deleted scene from the movie that shows him receiving a letter from Kwikspell. It's kind of a meaningless scene without the context, but the books explain it more. Also, when Dumbledore said Voldemort transferred some of his powers to Harry, it was mentioned that it happened when he got the scar, ie as a baby, when Voldemort tried to kill him. He's had the scar for most of his life, but probably only learned about speaking to snakes much much later.

Eralia, another great and fun reaction! But just a heads up. Richard Harris, the actor playing Dumbledore, passed away after this movie so moving forward, you’ll see a new actor (Michael Gambon) playing the role.
Also they never really touch on Hermiones ability to use magic i beleive even though her parents are muggles her parents were know as "squibs" A Squib is the child of a wizard or witch who is born without magical ability skipping generations and can just resurface like it did with Hermione I could be wrong about that so please correct me chat
Her parents would only be squibs if her grandparents were wizards, and I imagine she would have noticed if that were the case.

Every year, the characters get older, and the themes get more serious and darker. So does the cinematography. With the success of the books and movies, you also get a bunch of great actors. (*cough* Gary Oldman *cough*)

Dobby has one of the best story lines in the HP series! That would be awesome if you watched Star Wars! Merry Xmas!
