Okay, I'm going to try to watch this movie for the first time ever. I figure I'm primed for it, having just sat through Shawshank again. I'm' hoping your 'presence' makes it easier for me. =) I'm a big baby about these sorts of movies. Edit: Okay, halfway through the movie and a mouse is squished, I can't.

The audience at executions serves as witnesses, and this practice continues even today. In Saudi Arabia, executions are still carried out in public spaces to teach others not to commit the same crime.

Some Tom Hanks movies that won't wreck you... Sleepless in Seattle, and You've Got Mail. Both are VERY charming rom-coms.

Hi Eralia. I'm a lawyer, and I was a prosecuting attorney for the first 15 years of my career. To save John, they would have to have enough evidence to get a new trial, or convince the governor to pardon him. Politically, the governor is a non-starter. And there's no reason to think there's any evidence left over pointing to Wild Bill. There's literally no way out at this point...

It was so good to watch this movie again. I had not seen it since it was first released and I had forgotten most of it, so it was sort of like watching it for the first time again. The next Tom Hanks movie you should watch is Cast Away, whenever you're ready to watch his movies again. As for a silly movie, how about a Jim Carry movie, like Dumb and Dumber, or Liar Liar. I'm looking forward to the next one, whatever it may be.

This 10 mins in comment* Love your rections but could you show the first 5ish mins of the movie blurred so the sync up is easier? its been a bit of a mission doing that xD Also muting the movie audio for the resto of the movie for us the 'viewer' is better because we want to hear your comments but if the movies isn't PERFECT synced it just has echos. love <3

Eralia, please be assured these recommendations are because we love you (no hate). You’re one of the most empathetic people and we want to show you the very best films that you have missed. ❤️ And if you want a palette cleanser, here are a few comedies I’d recommend; just note that all of these films have alternate unrated versions (which in my opinion are better) but if you do watch any, please let us know which version. Dodgeball Anchorman The Hangover And as others have said, if you could include some blurred out video of the film to help us sync, that would be great … especially when films have multiple versions in case we need to pause to sync up.

I love your reactions, so genuine and empathetic. <3 I'd love to recommend something fun and definitely different: Scott Pilgrim vs the World A good introduction to Michael Cera, if you haven't seen any of his movies.

This film and Schindler's List are usually the 2 biggest "soul destroying" movies for reactors. Congrats on making it through! I'll add my own recommendation of The Truman Show if you haven't seen it. It's another one of those films that every reactor needs to see.

Please use some more cues to let us sync up. Like some video frames with audio every 15 minutes or show the playback timer constantly, especially at the start. I can send you some examples from other movie reaction channels I'm a member of, and they now do a good job with making it easier to sync your own copy to watch together. (It was also hard to sync your own copy with them watching a few years ago, but now they made it better) Anyway, I'm gonna try to sync up again, and get back into this! ;)

I'm not particularly sensitive to movie violence/death scenes. Ironically Tom Hanks is in the two I just really can't watch. The staircase / knife scene in Saving Private Ryan and the Dale scene in The Green Mile. I think the movies are great but I'll leave the room a few moments when those scenes are coming.

Thanks for reacting to "The Green Mile". This movie wrecks me every time I watch it in its entirety. If you feel like it you can look up IMDb trivia on the film. You might find out some interesting things either about the movie or behind the scenes. There are a few reasons why so many people recommend this after watching "The Shawshank Redemption". When you come back for more Tom Hanks after watching some lighter movies, can I suggest "Cast Away" (2000)?

I was hoping you would watch this. It's one of my favourites. Shawshank is also my number 1 favourite film. For a future film Good Will Hunting is great if that's one you've not seen

Yes! Good Will Hunting would be so great for Eralia to react to!
